We’ve started taking one of my boss’s baby horses to her first clinics and she is just. So. Exciting.

Literally perfect into the contact, perfect rhythm, so willing to work even when she finds things a bit overwhelming. The cutest little cookie who just makes the most textbook picture and by far the easiest and most comfortable young horse I’ve ever backed and ridden. You barely have to think about riding her, just going forwards and tiny adjustments to bring her into the correct balance and then... float.

And that’s the feeling that makes everything worth it.
