Wow that could be my story. I got a lot of abuse from my brother who apparently was always embarrassed by me and interests. We're not on speaking terms right now because I married someone not of the faith and he slandered me. I finally cut all ties.

Oh I'm sorry about that. Abuse of any kind sucks but I hope that you are happy with your life even tho your brother treated you badly! My brothers were all generally mean (b/c that's 'just what you expect' when there are three older boys and one baby sister) but most of what they did to me when I was younger was mean, but I can move past it because usually they weren't so bad, and they're a lot nicer to me now and are p enjoyable to be around. I am friendly with my brother even tho he was p verbally abusive (even with my meds I am too focused on other stuff in my life to really care enough which makes me feel like I should care more but idk :/) because he's deffs not as bad as he was. He (and sometimes my parents b/c they're not as aware of issues as I am especially now) would sometimes use my fears to prank me (mostly my brother)

I don't think he really meant to be that bad either (which I feel is too apologetic but we were both pretty little) just some of the stuff he did could have been really emotionally damaging had I been older and not have been able to forget how scary some of the things he did were. And when I say scary I don't mean he like mad me scared to be even near him, he was just the cause of some stuff that eventually faded. Like my clown fear :o

Hi! This may be forward, but as one Sorceress cosplay to another how do you boob? No matter what I do my 36H girls look small in that cosplay. Shelf bra or just corset?

AH! More Sorceress cosplay! It's just a corset, but the cups themselves are sized to fit me so maybe that's part of it? It's the same "technology" as my Jessica Rabbit dress!

Hello. A little story, please? Once you've had your day off, of course :)

You mighta guessed by now that I wasn’t one of the kids who spent all his time at the library.  You can’t learn to throw a punch there.  Not if you’re using it right.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to use one, either.  I’m a private dick, and detecting takes at least half a brain.

I like the newspaper reading room.  And the reference room.  When I need something light to pass the time while I finish my coffee, there’s nothing like a fat stack of construction permits.

But not because of the permits.  Because of the lady who works the room.

"A $400K project to renovate 1860s brownstone" has nothing on her.

She’s hilarious.  Every time I come in, she sees me, puts down her comic book, and before my cup is dry we’re swapping dirty jokes.  At a whisper, of course.  Librarians are a hell of a crowd, and this one is one of those redheads I keep telling you about.

What is it about these redheads?  I swear my neighborhood attracts them.

In some way, she reminds me of the school nurse that used to patch me up when I scraped a knee as a kid.  In other ways, she reminds me of the burlesque dancer who used to patch me up when I’d first started out and scraped my brain against this neighborhood.

With this librarian, though, it’s an affair of the mind.  We’re intellectuals.  Aristocrats, you might say.

1. Favorite season: The cusp of summer and fall

2. Proudest moment: Putting together a charity concert at my college that wound up helping 3 different causes

3. Dream job: Event planner

4. If you could, would you spend a year in Europe or 1 hour on the moon, assuming both go perfectly well. A year in Europe, definitely. I'd hit up Ireland, the English countryside, France, Spain, and Greece. 

5. Favorite time period: The 70's. Not only was everyone partying, but it seemed like such a time of hope, like maybe everyone was finally getting their shit together.

6. The book you have reread the most: The Stand by Stephen King

7. Freezing weather or extremely hot weather: Hot. I cannot stand the cold, but with heat you don't have to move much and you can just drink water and sweat it out.

8. If you could cosplay one thing perfectly, what would it be: Madhuri Dixit's costume she wore during "Maar Dala" in Devdas

9. Dogs or cats? I like the relative independence of cats.

10. Biggest annoyance: When people are going to be late to something and don't notify me. I don't care if you are running 15-20 mins behind, just send me a text or something.

11. Watching TV, watching a movie, reading, or gaming? This is hard...I think I will have to go with gaming. I'm interpreting this to mean tabletop gaming: it's a social activity, a play, telling a story, and adventure all in one package. Good stuff.

What's your least favorite part about decorating a cake?

I hate sculpting cakes into cars because it’s such a long process.

finding blueprints from the make and model car the customer wants, and scaling it down and then making a support structure, and cutting up the cake to be shaped like it, icing weird shapes, making fondant pieces like tires and mirrors and headlights. also, they’re never cute lol.

and then I also don’t like when customers are super picky and flip out over tiny details that they never even requested on their cake. we call them PIA at kake korner. it stands for “pain in the ass” and there is even a special section on the order forms where we can circle “PIA” if they are acting in such a way.

Seriously, and to all the people who liked this as well you guys are just so A++++ best of tumblr would follow again. You have no idea how much it means for people to even go "cool" to things like this. I have struggled all my life with autoimmune issues and always been wicked out of shape and this is just such a huge achievement for me and yes I am still a little high from my run but I really do just lurve you guise <3
