The game of basketball like in life is poetry in motion. The twist and turns, momentum swings, and competition teach you a lot about yourself. This is the hoop my grandpa set up for us in Germany on their barn. It’s not regulation 10ft because like pulp fiction taught us, the metric system is a bit off. ;) It’s about 10ft8 and if you shoot long range you can’t get much arc because it will hit the bottom of the A frame roof. Not to mention the court is slanting downward at an angle to the house. What am I getting at? If you love the game of life, business, relationships, it doesn’t fucking matter as long as you get to play and have a chance to shoot. So many people are trying to be like everyone else. Sure, it's cool to say you are entrepreneur and all that but I am sure when rubber meets the road 95% of the those people will get desk jobs. Being an entrepreneur is tough to say the least. Constantly searching for that white space to really dive into to make ends meet. Ironically, the grind and building something is where I am most happy. Trust me, if had a regular 9 to 5 job I would not be good to anyone. Is South Africa we went Newlands Brewery and they talked about running a business in South Africa. There is a lot of corporate responsibility running a business that has been around. When Capetown almost went in a drought this brewery needed to ensure to stay afloat while balancing to help the city where it could. I must say the food in South Africa was delicious in a surprising way. No matter where we went the food was simply fantastic and generally made to order. You can tell most things were farm to table and locally sourced. Growing up with two farm parents that’s what I expect from the food I eat.
