after reading that Harry was never hugged / comforted after a nightmare and that he would easily be surprised when one of the children got into bed, I had to write this
small and without a decent end, just to get out of mind :)
It was just another ordinary night, the wind outside stirred the trees with a certain brutality, the sky predicted a storm, but it was pleasantly cool, according to Harry. He curled up further on the soft cover, adjusting himself next to Ginny and sighing at the sensation, happy to be home...
''Harry?'' At first, when the noise brought him out of his dream, he thought it was Ginny waking him up for something, not quite understanding where he was '’Harry'' Then the second time he realized it was the voice of a kid.
The darkness of the room did not make him see much, and the small childish body standing beside him was a little frightening when mixed with the shadows, making him blink a few times behind lucidity.
"Teddy? What are you doing here?'' Harry tried to murmur the shortest one so he wouldn't wake Ginny, it was strange that he was there, and he really didn't quite know what to do.
''I'm scared'' Teddy voice threatened to break, his lower lip trembling and his little hands gripping his blanket tightly
'’Uh ... don’t be, sweatheart’' Harry tried to be the kindest, not quite sure how to handle it all while he was still sleepy
''Can I lie down with you?'' This time the boy spoke louder, the crying really breaking the barrier and making his eyes flood. Harry didn't know what to do, should he pull Teddy to himself or take him back to his own room? It was strange that he wanted to lie down with him and Ginny, right? He definitely never did that to the Dursleys, and his nightmares and cries at dawn always needed to stop on their own, so ... It was normal, wasn't it? Harry didn't think he had ever seen Dudley sneak into his parents' bed.
''Teddy, I-- ''
''--Come here, baby'' Ginny barely seemed really awake, stepping over Harry to grab the little one in her arms and pull him to the bed ''I'm here, don't be afraid'' Her voice was low and calm, stroking Teddy's hair and bringing it back to normal blue, pressing it against her chest with the greatest naturalness in the world, murmuring comforting words as she did so.
Harry couldn't stop looking, trying to understand the whole thing, but always coming back to the point that it didn't seem normal, right? Ginny seemed quite comfortable bringing him there, but it could easily be something from the wizarding world ... he hoped, at least.
Perhaps, if he took courage, he would ask her tomorrow about.
I'm still in the mood for all Harry Potter related stuff, so I wanted to draw @joelineswonderland because I loved her Ginny Cosplay so much :) (Also, it's the perfect excuse to draw another redhead ^.-) Btw, am I the only one who finds it really cool that with the 20 years anniversary, Harry Potter is everywhere in the bookstores again? I bought the illustrated version of #fantasticbeasts yesterday and man... I love it. It reminds me of my childhood and the books about dragons I had back then :) (I might or might not do my inktober with a dragon theme... still not sure about that xD) It also reminds me how much I used to love books in general. It's a little sad that I hardly read anymore, but I always feel like I should spend more time drawing. . . . . . #harrypotter #20yearsofmagic #potterhead #ginnyweasley #redhead #ginnypotter #quidditch #quidditchteam #sketchoftheday #gryffindor #hogwarts #freckles #steampunkgoggles #sketchofthenight #dtiys #drawthisinyourstyle #drawme #giftart #pottermore #harrypotterworld #harrypotterfan #harrypotterforever #weasley #potterlove #fantasybooks #childrensbookart #commissionartist (hier: Hannover City) https://www.instagram.com/p/BoFOwfjATpK/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=oxkcr53xrvzs
Hello, if ur still taking prompts can u write something about the Dursley’s seeing Harry with the kids and Ginny for the first time after the war? It could be from one of the Dursley’s POV. (They don’t even need to interact I just want to know how they would feel/react to Harry all grownup and having his own family)
ok, i ignored all the messages that had been sending me before this one, because i needed to write this! thank you for sending <3
I hope you liked it <3
tell me what you think :)
Dudley was leaving the mall when he saw them
Harry - and it could only be him, since no one in the world could have hair like that, and a scar on forehead - had a little girl in his arms, one who shouldn't have been more than two years old, beside him, a boy , maybe 8 or 9 years old, talked to him with all his excitement, looking more than excited carrying the bag from one of the toy stores.
There was a redhead by his side, and as far as Dudley knew, she was his wife. She was holding hands with two other boys, one on each side of her body, talking to the oldest who seemed to show the toy he had bought. The youngest, was entertained with a big pink ice cream, full of confectionery, chocolate, and other goodies, barely caring about each other's brothers and toys.
Dudley didn't know what to do. Should he greet them? Should he stand still? Should he pretend haven't seen them?
Now that he was a father, he felt guilty for all the terror he had done to Harry, thinking of all the times he got his cousin beaten up for something he had done himself, or the times he denied giving away some of the candy who had won or shared the new toy, even though Harry almost looked like he wanted to cry.
The cousin looked happy. More than Dudley remembered seeing him in his entire life.
‘’James, could you ..’’ Harry fell silent, stopping in the middle of the parking lot and causing everyone to stop too, trying to find out what his father was holding.
Harry was much taller and stronger than Dudley remembered, there was a beard and longer hair too, and it looked like the scar had become more frightening. The clothes weren't very conventional, but you might think the couple was just a couple who liked to dress more like they did in the 90s. The woman seemed to rage, her red hair looking like a flame on her shoulders, shaking her children's hands as if she wanted to protect them.
‘’Dudley’’ Harry was the first to break the silence by nodding at him
‘’Hello, Harry’’ He said, trying to sound less surprised and happier ‘‘Hello’’ He waved at the redhead, and then at the kids. The oldest of all, next to Harry, looked as angry as his mother. ‘’How are you?’’ Dudley didn’t approach, it seemed a little scary to do that when all that tension was drumming through the air
‘’Good, what about you?’’ Harry seemed to be the only one willing to say anything, and even his daughter now seemed to look at Dudley a little suspiciously. He didn't blame them at all.
''Good too ... there is something that has been in my car for months ... that belongs to you ... I didn't know exactly where to look for you and since Dad died, and Mom sold everything, I'm saving it in case I found you ... If you want, of course'' He started, a little too nervous, clutching his hands in his pockets ''Wait a second'' Dudley unlocked the car, not wanting to spend another second of them, and also, because the redhead and the older boy seemed about to attack him.
Picking up the box in the back seat of the car, he approached Harry, who let go of his son's hand and put his daughter on the floor to get the artifact.
''Mom kept it hidden so ... I never knew about it and it seemed too cruel not to give it back to you. I'm really sorry for all the years Harry, really'' Dudley swallowed, the guilt almost burning him with shame ''A good day to you.'' He waved awkwardly at everyone, and walked away, feeling a sudden urge to cry with the memories that invaded his mind and thinking about his own children, imagining them becoming orphans and going to live in a terrible place, deny food and never include them in anything.
He hoped that Harry could forgive him - or at least consider him a little less like a monster - after he saw what he had given him.
I always thought about it, and now that I'm pretending to study so I don't have to help with the change, I came to write
------------------------
James was completing fifteen months, and Ginny was a complete mess.
It all started a few weeks ago, when she, the baby and Teddy were walking down Diagon Alley, and a woman stopped to talk to them, talk about how Harry was a great wizard and all those things, but she had also commented, about how James looked like him - and Ginny knew, the child had come out of her, after all - mostly about him being so close to turning 15 months old, the same age Harry was when it all happened.
"Isn't it disturbing to think he was this small?"
So, Ginny then started having nightmares.
Of course she knew that Harry was a baby, but then, look at her little son, who cried every time he was away for five minutes from her or Harry, who was learning to walk, to mumble ''mommy'' ''daddy'', and who still slept among them because it was safer, was disturbing.
She hadn't spoken to Harry, there was no need, her concern was stupid when spoken out loud, so she made sure to keep it to herself.
And when that week came, when it arrived that on Friday her son would be 15 months old, Ginny was plagued with nightmares and more nightmares from Death Eaters entering her home and killing her and Harry, leaving James orphaned. Or, of them killing James, and she being able to do nothing but see that little dead infant body. Sometimes she dreamed of Harry and James dying, the scene of her husband in Hagrid's arms seeming to return in an eternal loop, but this time, their son was together.
Every night she woke up five, six times to see if the little one was still with them, sleeping widely in the middle, with his feet on Harry's shoulders and his head nestled in her, so she could breathe easy and kiss his fine dark hair, smelling the child, before going back to sleep to have another nightmare and do it all over again.
At dawn from Thursday to Friday, she was a nervous wreck.
Harry had gone on a mission and said that he would arrive that day, which had not happened. In all the years together, Ginny had learned to control that anxiety and the fear of losing her husband, it was his job, and you would think the Boy Who Lived would take a vacation from this life of hunting for evil, but it was Harry, and she knew it when fell in love for him. But sometimes it still hurt, especially when she wanted him there to feel safe.
After an awake night, walking back and forth (in their room, where James was sleeping), Ginny wanted to curse that old woman. Who could say that? Tell a mother about her son being the age of the boy who almost died? Especially when that boy was your husband AND father of your son? No. Ginny hated her, completely.
Harry, at least, had arrived home, a little after nine, without much injury and apologizing for the delay.
''They're all idiots,'' he said as he comfortably rocked his son on his hip, seeming not to even realize he was doing it, letting the boy play with his hair and beard ''It seemed like there was just me and Ron, the rest barely made a difference’'
''He missed you'' Ginny smiled awkwardly, the lump in her throat forming as she prepared lunch
''I missed you too, Jamesy'' She didn't need to look to know that he was kissing the boy's forehead ''And you too'' Harry kissed the top of the redhead's head, causing her to smile ''There's something wrong? You didn't say much''
''Just tired, James moved a lot this night'' She lied (or omitted, at least the part that she didn't sleep at all)
That day had everything to be just another ordinary day at the Potter's house, but when you want to find reasons to make sense of your head, you see what you want.
That's why she almost had a heart attack when she saw her son on Harry's lap while they were flying (he wasn't even flying high and James was tied to Harry's abdomen), or when the boy fell out of bed, there was given a scratch on the forehead, yes, right on the forehead, and Ginny's mind was playing tricks right after.
''Gin, he's fine, it was just a scratch from nothing. Aren't you, Jamie?'' Harry sat him on the counter, rubbing the ointment on his son's bruise, as careful as ever, while the boy blinked greedily at his father, seeming to pay all his attention to it. His eyes were swollen from crying and his pink cheeks made her want to cry together, which was absurdly pathetic.
''I should have known this was going to happen, the bed is too high, I shouldn't have left him alone'' Alone. Imagine her child alone in the world, helpless (because in her head, her family could not be there to help for some stupid reason), suffering and being beaten up like Harry, having to sacrifice his life for peace.
"Gin?" Harry looked at her as if he knew what was going on in her head, as usual. "James is fine, and here. We're all here.'' She took her son in her arms, hugging the boy a little too tightly, wanting that warmth in her chest never to go away.
''I know, I was just worried'' She looked at the boy, who still blinked a little sadly, and filled him with kisses, taking a deep breath of his scent and trying to keep his face in memory, before taking him to the kitchen, with the excuse that she was hungry.
Later, however, it was the worst hour of her life, by far.
''James is gone'' She spoke almost in a panic to her husband's face at the fireplace, he had returned to the Ministry a few hours ago, just to sign some papers, and then, when she relaxed and left the little one playing in the living room while tidying up the house, Ginny lost him ''I can't find him anywhere, Harry'' Her eyes prickled, her head creating the worst scenarios, where everyone ended up with a lot of blood and death
''What do you mean?'' Harry moved, seeming to look for something ''Don't get out of here, I'm going'' And then he was gone, and she started screaming around the house, running to look for him again, opening the doors, calling him, going to the garden, to the street, and still, not being able to find anything.
''James!'' She had started to cry, panicking in the yard, opening the broom shed only to find it in the same way as before, with the usual mess.
"Gin!" Harry appeared, white and alarmed as an Auror/Dad should be, wand in hand and looking like a hurricane "What happened?"
''He was playing in the living room, and then ... '' She sobbed, shaking ''I called him, called, called, and when I went to see there was nothing else there. He was gone'' Harry dragged her into the house again, looking ready to hunt whoever was needed.
''He mustn't have gone far, he's just a baby''
''IT'S EXACTLY THAT!'' She exploded ''Someone may have caught him! Or killed! He can be-- ''
'' - He's not, Ginny! '' Harry squeezed her shoulders as if to keep her still ''He's not. We'll find him.''
They went back to looking, Ginny was holding back the crying with all her claw, and when they were about to summon Aurors and the family to help, Harry stopped in the middle of the room, looking on for something
"Did you hear that?" She denied, sobbing silently at the image of her son dead in a ditch. But Harry, seeming to test Auror's years, was centered, his wand drawn and still watching for something. He reached out to open one of the tallest doors in the living room closet, where he usually kept books and things that were uninteresting, sighing when he saw his son sleeping with his blanket, as if nothing had happened. The man pulled the baby, causing him to wake up, and finally let the whole posture fall, sitting on the floor while holding the boy against his chest and breathing hard, letting some tears flow.
Ginny was not so calm, falling beside them and sobbing as she hugged him too, feeling all the tension of that week and the psychological exhaustion that had been, trembling as she stroked the boy's hair, who seemed scared by all that
''Never-Never do that again, James!'' Sobbed irritably ''Heavens, I thought I was going to die''
''He must have been tired of playing and thought it was the most peaceful place.. '' Harry squeezed the boy even more, seeming to notice that his son had done magic for this, which caused a small smile on his face
''Mommy'' James raised his little hands to her face, looking worried that she would cry so hard, then tried to wipe the river of tears that flowed from Ginny's eyes, in the purest form of affection.
''Sorry honey, you scared me'' She sighed, smiling sadly
After all that nervousness, when Harry felt well to be able to let his son return to his toys, the two looked at each other
''Teddy told me what that woman had said'' Ginny could play dumb, but it was almost impossible
''He's so small Harry'' And without realizing it, she started crying again, rubbing her husband's face
''I know, it's also scary for me to see this, but there's nothing to fear Gin, I'm here, alive, and James too'' She nodded, being hugged and comforted by him ''Nothing is going to happen to him. Nothing''
''That old idiot, who does she think she is to say something like that, to me?'' Harry laughed, kissing her head as they both looked at their son ''He did magic ... we should give some gift to him?'' She asked.
''I don't know, do you think? I didn't get anything good when I did it the first time.'' Ginny rolled her eyes, annoyed that he was talking about it right now
''Don't talk about it when I just had the worst experience of my life. I forbid you'' She said, listen to Harry laughing, still with his chin resting on the top of her head, hugging her protectively
''You could have told me''
''That was stupid'' She shrugged, finally calming down
''But when it disturbs your sleep, you tell me'' One more tender kiss '’I was also afraid, if you want to know .. But I think our similarities end there. James will have parents who embarrass him in front of his friends, and his girlfriend ... ''
''..Or boyfriend''
''Yes. We'll be here, Gin. Safe and sound. I promise.'' As if feeling his parents feelings, James walked, still a little unsure, to them, smiling and throwing himself in the middle, a little jealous that he wasn't getting attention.
She looked at Harry too, who was doing some foolish thing for James to burst out laughing, his green eyes shining as he looked at his son, looking free of any worries that might take their sleep.
As the little boy grabbed his father's glasses and put them on his face, staggering around the room and making them both laugh, Ginny felt safe, happy that that little bundle was growing at full throttle.
They were safe, and James would have his parents to embarrass him and participate in important and ordinary moments, for many years.
Ginny never liked to be called Gin-Gin, her brothers used the nickname to always demote her as the child of the group, who could do nothing but watch them play whatever the shit was.
At school, Gin-Gin was a diminutive of ginger, which she detested, since Ginny hated ginger and being compared to that spice was terrible.
But then Teddy came, and he had a hard time calling her Ginny, which always ended up tangled up and ended up as '' Gimi '' or just '' Gi '', but she never really cared, she loved it the boy and would not crucify him for that.
On her nineteenth birthday, he had made a beautiful card for her, full of flowers, glitter, and somewhat confusing arts, but which he swore were hearts and broomsticks. And when he came to deliver the note, next to a box, which she suspected was the coat she had seen with Harry, Teddy made a point of saying it;
''For you, Gin-Gin''
At first it sounded strange, and everyone looked a little curious to see her reaction, already knowing how much she hated that, but it had been so cute to see that 3 year old boy making all his effort to delivering the gift, in addition to changing her blue hair to red, in order to match hers, that her heart melted
"Thank you my love" And that's how, for Teddy, Ginny became Gin-Gin.
The nickname never came out, when James was born, his godson always referred to her as ''mommy Gin-Gin'', when he made cards at school for Mother's Day (which she and Andromeda earned) he dedicated to Gin-Gin, and as soon as he entered Hogwarts, all the letters addressed to her were with the nickname.
Ginny thought that an hour would pass - and that made her sad just to think - but when he graduated, Teddy made a nice letter thanking Harry, the best godfather I could have, and Gin-Gin, my best friend.
Ginny cried when she read it, but it was her secret and that of the little - now bigger than she - Teddy.
Every time one of the children made her angry, Teddy warned them that they would never find a better mother than 'Gin-Gin', and that they couldn't say that they hated her just because she told them to take a bath.
Ginny was the first person who heard that Teddy liked Victorie, and it was with her that he went to buy flowers for the girl. Eventually, she was the first to know that they were dating, and that they were going to get married (but Harry was together at the last, which doesn't count for much).
Teddy always replied that Gin-Gin was his best friend when someone asked, and that, she was much more than a second mother or godmother.
After all the kids left for Hogwarts, Teddy went to visit her and they spent a few hours talking about nothing, while she took a break from the huge newspaper columns that she would have to write.
He started working with the Aurors, which worried Harry and Ginny until the last strands of hair, but the boy did absurdly well, and every time he returned from a mission, he sent a letter advising her.
When they thought Victorie was pregnant, he went straight to Ginny, who started a monologue about how irresponsible those two idiots were and how she wasn't going to defend him from Bill (of course she would, she always did). But in the end it was just a false alarm, and Teddy never forgot when his godmother and James started their speeches (Because Harry was at work and James couldn't let this moment pass)
But when she got really pregnant, Ginny cried in her living room, because he had counted on giving her and Harry a letter saying that;
''I can't wait to meet my grandparents at heart, I hope Grandma Gin-Gin teaches me how to fly and Grandpa Harry teaches me to be as fearless as he always was''
Ginny and Harry could barely speak, a little outraged that they were already grandparents (even if at heart), while being highly touched by that.
Of course little Aurora called her Grandma Gin-Gin.
Ginny never really cared about the nickname again, there were no more bad memories of being called Gin-Gin, of being cornered and being excluded from everything. Every time a grandson, or Teddy, called her that, a genuine and very happy smile came over her face.
When Teddy told her about his fear of being a father, she told him that the first thing she had learned from him had been to be less hard on herself, in addition to having learned to have a heart of butter. Because no matter what the fuck she did, Teddy was always by her side, hugging her and saying that she was the best Gin-Gin he knew, and that was worth a lot.
Harry can't say no to his children, especially when they are bored
It was vacation, and it was absurd heat all over England
Ginny had gone out to buy some things for the decoration of Harry's 40th Surprise Party
James, Albus and Lily were totally bored beside their father in the Garden, sitting on the porch while eating ice cream (because they can’t keep a secret)
''Can we do anything other thing than watch the birds?''
''What do you want to do, Lilikins?''
So the four end up doing an afternoon of skin care
James spreads clay on his sister's face, and then she on her father's, taking care of his beard (which was being hydrated)
''Can we moisturize our hair?'' James asks when he sees the product in his mother's bathroom.
And this is how the four end up with shower cap, it will mask on the face (because it feels very refreshing, and Lily said it was important after the clay) while watching a Muggle series
Albus tries to convince his father to let them shave his chest, because 'huh, it's disgusting'
It's a fun moment, Harry says he will only do it if others do too, because 'I won't be the only one in pain'
James screams when the wax is pulled from his thigh
Lily put up with more, but swears occasionally
Albus can barely let a strip of wax out without screaming (which makes him only have only 1/3 of his shaved leg, and James can't wait until tomorrow when he needs to wear shorts)
"Lily, remember your birthday is coming" Harry says as soon as she starts to pour the wax on his chest
''Mom already bought my gift, I know that'' Then she pulls out the wax and her dad screams with sudden pain
''Have you ever been in front of the curse of death twice and are crying because of it?'' Albus makes fun, laughing
''At least he's finished'' James nudges, pointing at his brother's half-shaved leg
When their face and hair are hydrated, they’re shaved and Albus gets a new haircut (which impressively looks good) Ginny arrives
Harry is sitting patiently on the couch, his daughter braiding his hair while James and Albus fight to decide which elastic he should wear
''Green is your color'' James decides
Ginny is speechless, laughing at the four and still trying to understand what's going on
''We were bored'' Harry shrugs
She thinks she could fight with the four of them for having spent so much of their products, but it is such a beautiful scene and Harry's smile says that he is the happiest man in the world.
prompt idea: the boys and their dad vs ginny and little Luna over having a sleepover with her guy friends!! I think it would be such a funny story
Hi Anon, thank you for the prompt!
I joined this prompt with the boys being overprotective with Lily :)
sorry for the delay, it took me a long time to do it in a cool and non creepy way, and I hope you like it <3
''Lily wants a sleepover'' Ginny started, sitting in the other sofa, watching Harry and Albus playing Muggle video games, while James gave instructions on where they were supposed to go.
''When? Harry didn't even look at her, firmly focused on what his character was doing, running away from the shooting as Albus arranged the ropes so he could climb the building
''Next week ... she'll call some friends '' The husband nodded again, as she cleared her throat ''Eddith, Rose, Carly, Jonas and Matt'' Harry stopped the game, and the three heads turned to Ginny, as she knew it would be, while the children blinked a little stunned.
"What are the names you said?" Harry adjusted his glasses, looking incredulous
''Jonas and Matt ... from her year '' James watched his mother, his brown eyes closed as he seemed to search his mind for their name
“Why is she going to call the boys? Shouldn't she just call the girls to talk about anything that nonsense girls say?’’ The son raised an eyebrow, and Ginny wanted to laugh at that, mainly because he looked very much like one of his brothers to her, and even to herself when Fleur arrived.
"Have you already asked Mira to go out with you" Lily came down the stairs with her arms crossed, ready to argue "And why can't I call my friends? "
''Why are they boys? '' Albus tried, looking at his father and then shrugging ''Why do you want to spend a night with stupid boys?''
''Language, Albus'' Ginny looked at her son, raising her eyebrows in warning.
‘'Lily, darling, can't you just call the girls? I don't think it is ... '' Harry seemed to really try to keep the will to protect her under control, but his wife cut him off early;
'' ... James already called the girls here, Harry '' Ginny reminded him, not much changing the look she gave her son, her husband ''I think it's okay for them to come, it's just a pajama party'' She shrugged, wanting to make fun of Harry now that he was the one jealous, since when she was like that with James, he said ''It's normal, they're friends'' Ginny repeated to the man, making him bite from his own poison
''Are they going to sleep in your room? Because Mira didn't sleep in mine’’ James looked at his sister and then at his father
"Sure, it's a slumber party, idiot" Lily threw herself next to her mother, crossing her legs and keeping her face steady towards her overprotective brothers and father. Ginny found her much more confident than she was at 13.
"Language, Lily!" Harry warned, suddenly disturbed. His little girl with boys in the room? Alone? ''James is right, how are they going to sleep in your room? I don't think it's ideal.''
"But they are my friends, and we are going to spend the night awake and talking, how are we going to do this in separate rooms?" The girl looked to her mother for help. Ginny wanted to laugh, but felt it was necessary to go to her daughter's defense before
''There is nothing to fear, Lily has friends and wants to spend more time with them, just like Albus and James do every vacation. The boys come and stay in her room with the other girls’’. The three men didn't seem to agree yet, especially Harry, who grimaced and looked at his wife more willingly.
''Well then, why do I keep sleeping in separate rooms from Mira when she comes? If Lily goes to sleep with boys ... ''
''Lily won't sleep with the boys'' Harry warned him, looking much more tense than before ''Not in the same way you want to do'' The son swallowed his laugh, and Ginny wanted to roll her eyes at the boy's audacity. Only James to propose that idea when he knew his father was about to lock his daughter up in a castle and keep her away from men.
''They're cool, they're my friends and I want to have a sleepover. What's wrong with all this?'' Lily looked very irritated then, her huge eyes behind her glasses as she blushed ''That's sexism, to think that any friend of mine is a romantic interest, when Albus and James don't have to worry about that.''
"Lily, no. And that's it'' Harry turned his attention to the TV, although Albus was still looking at his sister. Ginny felt her chest burn, feeling sorry for her daughter.
''They come Lily, don't worry'' She looked at her husband, very angry then ''If James and Albus can, Lily too''
"Ginny ..."
''She is right. Just because they are boys, it doesn't mean that she loves them or they love her. You were friends with Hermione and you didn't even kiss her. ''
''But I was your friend '' The woman snorted, denying and lifting her chin, looking very much like her 15-year-old self who fought with her brother in an empty corridor
''They come, and it's over'' Ginny stood up, Lily beside her smiling from ear to ear, proud to have her mother by her side, they left the room, ready to start preparations for next week's party today.
''I know what boys that age want, Ginny!'' Harry followed, the boys following him
''As I recall, Matt is very ... unreliable, he is not the boy who .. ''
'' ..Not Albus gossip, and he is very reliable, thank you for nothing''
‘’Harry, just because they are 13 year old boys, doesn’t mean they’re out of control to get into any hole. In fact, I would be more worried if they were James's age.'' The son's eyes widened, blushing even his hair while making a face.
''OI! Am I not like that ?!'' Harry ignored the boy
''And even if they were, don't you trust me? Do you think I would let anyone do anything to me because I'm a stupid girl?'' Lily defended herself, crossing her arms and inflating her chest. Ginny was glad she knew how to defend herself that way
"I'm not saying that ..." Harry closed his eyes, rubbing his face and sighing
''But that's what it looks like. The three seem to think I am the most idiotic being that I am not. They are my friends and that's it. And I don't see all that concern about the boys that Albus is friends with or over James, who is dating! It was him you should be concerned about, not me.''
''You're only thirteen!'' Harry pointed out ''James is seventeen ''
''But he could have had girl friends since he was six years old ... Why can't I?'' Ginny nodded, happy that she didn't need to intervene much
"Harry, the boys come, and that's it, no drama."
"Can I talk to them when they arrive?" Harry took a deep breath, and Ginny knew that for the rest of the week it would torment the man, and the day before, he was possibly in the worst of moods.
''No! You will threaten them, and I don't want to pass this shame on. ''
‘’Harry, please, be less dramatic, unless you want me to reach all your female friends as well and start an interrogation on them. And yours too" She looked at her children, who were laughing softly, before they were quiet "Lily knows how to defend herself, and I trust her" Ginny squeezed her daughter's shoulder, still looking steadily at her husband "And it ended, because if I need to keep hearing about this shit, I would completely give up on our plans and prefer to stay in the office doing goal analysis.'' Harry blushed, knowing that that day they had a reservation at a very upscale restaurant in London, who would possibly end them naked in the bedroom.
''The door must stay open'' Harry almost growled
''Half open'' Ginny proposed, knowing that her daughter wouldn't be comfortable if they couldn't even gossip in privacy.
''Half open'' The man didn't even seem to blink, looking at his wife a little disturbed.
''Niceee! I'll write to them!'' And like a good 13-year-old girl, Lily jumped up the stairs, happy to the limit, while the brothers grimaced, going back to the living room and discussing the game from before
"Harry, boys are better than a murderer turned into a rat and a fugitive chasing 13 year olds kids" She reminded him "She'll be fine"
