Ep 3 The one where Tae punches the Amanto guy without falter for disrespecting her father and Gintoki stops him from punching back.

Ep 8 The one where Gintoki trades his life for Otae’s and says whether Kondo wins or not It’ll be Tae‘s decision if she wants him. Also the fact that Gintoki knew he’s working for free but he really takes Tae seriously, even if his method isn’t...

Ep 18 The one where Gintoki says the thief cares about quality therefore he will come back to Otae’s place. He knows Tae is QUALITY. Also when Gintoki is fantasizing about girls back in the days going commando and then says Tae doesn’t sound like a panties wearing person...

Ep 19 The one where Gintoki is annoyed with Tae but quickly lit up when she is trying to be ‘helpful’. This is something that Gintoki always does with Tae only, I think it’s because he hates the fact that she could control and manipulate him.

Anw, if my memory serves me right the movie referenced here w/ Takakura & Baisho is Yellow Handkerchief which is a very gintae-esque movie, imo. Chieko waited for her husband to come home and it took him years to return but she still waited for him and raised a yellow handkerchief. Which is very similar w/ Benizakura and BFY. No matter how long it’ll take him he’ll always comes back to where his home is and she’ll always be there to welcome him home.
