Day 3: Roasted

Now that I was able to borrow a much better camera I’l be putting up higher quality images of stuff for #inktober #inktober2018 .

I haven’t uploaded day 2 because I haven’t finished it yet because I was super tired from work at the time.  Maybe I’ll finish it later, but this is my first inktober so I won’t stress too much about it :)

The drawing of the week will be of Tristana, another marksman from League!  I’ll refine and paint the piece until the end of the week and post updates along the way before starting on a new project next week.

I’m becoming more confident with tools in SAI that make it easier to cell shade.

I’ve decided my new year’s resolution is going to be to draw one fictional character a week!  I started this week with Sivir from League of Legends.  

I’ll see if I can wrap up the sketch friday night and paint a little bit before the weekend’s over.  I feel like I’ve been improving a lot the past few weeks so I might start opening myself up to doing commissions soon!  I’m looking forward to it!

A little thing I worked on this evening.  Here’s the reference I used.  

I want to improve on hair so much, but when it comes to painting I just don’t know a good starting point to practice on.  Any advice would be super appreciated.

I can definitely do better, but in my defense I am holding it at a weird angle and I hardly ever draw clothes or hair :/

So there I was doodling and looking at a bunch of stuff from Stardust Crusaders when suddenly I end up with this little WIP. 

I know I’m way late on the JJBA bandwagon, but now that I’ve finally started reading it, the way Araki does faces is really neat.  It seems like a weird blend between male power fantasy and sort of a more metropolitan sense of beauty.

Anyhow I know there’s a lot that I could improve on this but I haven’t posted anything to here in a while so I thought this would be good for now.
