hi! @4thegays wanted some abbymax headcanons and luckily i have plenty of free time and an insatiable love for abbymax. not all are romantic abbymax, but they all center at least one of them. norah and marcus show up in them too :))

❧ max has severe insomnia and needs a weighted blanket to sleep (when abby sleeps over, she is the weighted blanket)
❧ when abby was younger, her parents argued a lot and she used to spend days on end at max’s house
❧ norah and abby went to the same elementary school, max went to a different school, but max and abby’s moms are friends from high school so max and abby met first
❧max and abby both got into alanis in middle school and as angsty tweens they’d blast jagged little pill to piss off marcus and their parents
❧ abby was max’s first girl crush
❧ max’s photo icon for abby on her phone is an adorably toothy seven year old abby. abby’s icon for max is max passed out drunk on the bathroom floor of brodie’s basement from freshman year.
❧ abby did soccer from elementary through middle school and she was pretty damn good at it, but she stopped in high school
❧ most of max’s friends have spent enough time at her house to pick up on basic signs to have simple conversations with her dad. abby and norah have slightly more advanced knowledge of the language (they used asl to cheat on tests in middle school)
❧ max, abby, and norah used to enlist marcus to build them pillow forts
❧ max can play a lot of instruments. flute, piano, guitar, piccolo, and harp are just a few of her many, many talents.
❧ max has photo albums individually dedicated to the people in her life. abby’s album is 200 photos in the lead.
❧ abby got super into polaroid cameras her freshman year and had one she took everywhere until brodie messed with it and it broke. she was devastated for weeks
❧ late middle school to early freshman year max would make abby be her makeup guinea pig by doing all kinds of eyeshadow on her
❧ one time when they were twelve at wellsbury’s town fair, max spent twenty bucks at ring toss trying to win abby one of those massive, ugly fair prizes. she only managed to get a small one so it’s turned into a recurring challenge for her to get abby one of the big ones (she’s failed every time and given hundred of dollars to amusement parks)
❧ when max gets sick, her favourite get better meal is abby’s mom’s chicken noodle soup. it’s a homestyle, passed down for generations type of meal
❧ max chronically does the wordle every morning
❧ abby loves napping, whenever she gets the chance she is putting her pretty head to rest for a nap
❧ max gets the absolute worst cramps and she’ll skip school and gnaw on oreos all day, so abby will bring her oreos to make her feel better
❧ they’re both night owls, max because her brain never shuts off and abby because she likes reclaiming her own time in the night
❧ abby’s love language is physical touch and after long days, she collapses into max’s arms
