Unrequited Love. @glacieros
Seeing the devastation that hit Yuuri after his loss at the Grand Prix Final had absolutely broken Leo’s heart. Figure skating was supposed to be something enjoyable, that brings you happiness, and while he hadn’t been close to Yuuri before.. he sure was now. It started with Phichit talking to him about it while Yuuri was still in Detroit. Leo often watched the Grand Prix when he could, and seeing Yuuri’s defeat, his first reaction was to talk with Phichit, knowing how close the two were. And he’d heard about how bad it was, how Yuuri had begun to spiral, and his immediate reaction was to get in contact.
Leo was the kind of person that just wanted to help people, to remind them of their love of figure skating when things go wrong, and to remind them that life goes on, failure is not the worst thing to happen, and so long as he gets back on his feet nothing can stop him. But he also wanted to show people that they don’t have to do it alone, and even when they make mistakes, it was all going to be okay. No matter what, Leo was there for people, and he wanted to be there for Yuuri too.
The best way to contact him? Instagram. Leo wasn’t close enough to have his number, nor was he going to ask for it from Phichit. Leo didn’t want to make Yuuri uncomfortable, he just wanted to reach out, let him know that he had more support.
[message]: Hey, Yuuri. I know we haven’t really gotten to talk much, but.. Phichit told me you’re feeling really down. [message]: Please don’t be mad at him! He wasn’t gossiping! [message]: He’s worried about you. And so am I.. I hope this isn’t weird. [message]: I just don’t want you to feel alone right now. I care, okay? [message]: If you’re feeling down.. you can message me anytime, if you’re comfortable. [message]: I hope you have a good evening.
