The Bob Jones University Public Relations department has been flooding their newsfeed with boasts about the Class of 2016′s success in getting into grad schools and being hired before graduation.
There are only 144 students listed, and the entire graduating class, if past numbers are any indication, will be between 400-500. So this is a small pool (probably a third), but these are the students who are sharing with the administration and whom BJU wants to brag about.
Of those 144, over 50% are staying in South Carolina. And of those 144, a third are either attending BJU for graduate school or are employed by BJU or one of its close orbits (such as Majesty Music or Galkin Evangelistic Team).
So much for preparing students to “go and teach all nations.” BJU is training people to stay in the orbit.
And based on what these BJU, Inc. jobs pay, so much for the value of a Bob Jones University education.
