I feel like this is something that needs to be said because not a lot of people know it:

The Color Purple by Alice Walker is an LGBT+ piece of media that is rarely thought of that way. In the book, Celie is a lesbian who explicitly states that she is not attracted to men and does not like men. Shug is an absolute bicon. They have a beautiful relationship that I wrote a whole 10 page paper on.

Every adaptation of the book leaves this out, and it makes me so angry. With news of the movie musical, I thought it was important to bring this up.

I just want to come through and post all the WIP fics that I started just to get out of my mind. I know I'm not gonna finish them but damn they sure would make good stories.

I think my problem is that I want all of them to be multichap fleshed out fics like what i like to read. Not every single ficlet needs a fully worked out happy ending. I got Bamon fics sitting out there that I forgot i even wrote.
