12.8: Found
Hooray for the obligatory Worms reference in this strip! I’ve always enjoyed Team 17’s Worms games and met a lot of my online friends through our shared love of the game.
The art in this one isn’t bad either and the logic defying nature of the joke is great (it makes more sense if you remember that the Parrot is narrating this from the future so not everything may be entirely true to life). All in all, one of the better strips in this story.
12.5: Animals
The Parrot wasn't confident enough, back in the day, to punch a bearded man in the eye. He’s come a long way from his military days.
There’s an ongoing side-plot in this storyline about the human race’s tendency to discriminate against anyone who’s different. It’s a theme that sadly resonates just as well today as it did thirteen years ago.
12.3: Meet the Team
Again, another mostly unfunny strip. It does serve its purpose of introducing us to the main characters in this story though. Panel 1 is a great example of why I shouldn’t do profile shots (a lesson I don’t seem to have learned thus far).
