I'm so curious mod- what is your main playing style in gw2 0: do you have any characters you can share with us- what's your preferred race / class ?

Hello, thank you for the question! I have characters of almost every race and profession, so I cycle through them a lot. The ones play most are a human necromancer, a norn daredevil, and a human mesmer. The necro is my since-launch oldest character. 💀

I’m most attached to humans because when I played GW1 the gods were my favorite part of the lore (they still are!). 

Orr and Path of Fire areas are where I spend the most time

Two of my very favorite characters I've made are elementalists, a profession I do nothing but die on. I knew this after the first one but still made another elementalist anyway and I WILL finish map completion for them, slowly, because I love them

A character’s profession has to fit with the roleplay concept I came up with for them or it just doesn’t feel right (see previous point)

Creating characters for official screenshots is very dangerous because I end up with many, many new characters on live that way

I like mostly running around and doing events, completing maps, and other open world activities!

It’s hard for me to play with other people on purpose because my mind wanders and I get nervous, but I like teaming up with adventurers I find

Sometimes I WvW super casually

Sometimes I do griffon flying tricks because the griffon is my favorite (I don’t have a skyscale yet)

My playstyle could be described as trying to get up onto that high place to look at the view, always /ᐠ-ᆽ-ᐟ \ 

My greatest enemies are jacaranda even though they use wind and lightning (both good). One of my favorite high places is full of them

i love her...also idk if this story will interest you and tw for animal death but..im infamous in my family for wanting a cat skull- . well last year my youngest sister told me she found a dead cat in an abandoned house- so naturally i drove two hours out to bury it in my moms back yard. tl;dr we named her Teeth and my mom ended up renting that house out but one day i will return for her.

26. Guilty Pleasure. Eating a ton of sweets in the middle of the night. He’ll wake up and decide to bake a cake at one in the morning.

27. What’s their family like? Who’s in it? What’s their relationship with them?  He considers a handful of other sylvari family. Nettle is like a big brother to him, and Canach too to some extent. The Pale Tree is definitely a mother figure, though he doesn’t visit her often. Rhysalea is family too, and one day Amwyl’s sure he’s gonna marry him.

37. Do they have any phobias? Crawly bugs. It’s the one thing that can make him drop everything he’s doing and rush away.

49. What are some themes tied to your character’s story? Acceptance of one’s own limitations. He has to learn to accept things he can’t change and to be okay with that. Discovery of healthy coping mechanisms; another thing he has to figure out.

I’ll go with Nona since she needs fleshing out!

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

The latest was in Grothmar Valley, where Nona had travelled to meet with her ex-dad from Flame Legion. She picked up something weird going on in the valley, and when Nona investigated it, she found out about Bangar’s and the rest’s whole deal. However, she ends up being discovered by these charr, and she’s sure they’re going to deal her like they’d deal with a spy. She manages to talk herself technically out, but she is forced to stay with the charrs as they follow Bangar to the Shiverpeaks. We’ll see how Icebrood saga continues, but at least for now she’s alive/not prisoner, but not in a good place.

22. What does your character like in other people?

She’s simple gal - someone likes her music, she likes her. She also enjoys being sociable with people. 

38. Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?

Unless it’s a threat you cannot solve by charm and talk, she’s removing herself as fast as possible.

44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?

She can easily do the casual, less meaningful “love you”, to fans mainly, but probably needs some time to say “i love you” to someone with really meaning it, despite being a charming bard, she’s not the lover stereotype.

she’s a prideful hardass but she loves soft physical attention and would never admit it..light touches, casual hand-holding, cheek kisses, just closeness and skinship ;o;

😬 - do they have a tell when lying/bluffing?

most of the time, no! from being in the nmc and being a whispers slayer who leverages her b-list celeb status to gain access into inner circles and fancy events to get information and perhaps murder she’s very good at deceiving others unless theyre people she really truly cares about, then she wouldn’t be able to maintain eye contact with them because it would make her feel too bad

👀 - how do they make eye contact? Do they use it as a gesture of power or subservience? Does giving it or witholding it mean something to them, or to the people around them?

eye contact for her is either a sign of challenge or respect and even with people she’s familiar with it’s hard to tell if she’s staring you down or showing you have her utmost attention. she has a habit of staring really intensely if strangers make eye contact with her, like ‘oh u wanna throw hands bro, do it, fuckin do it’ and breaking eye contact is like deference or intimidation, like not-being-able-to-face-them kind of thing, hence why she cant do it if she lies to a loved one.

😤 - what’s something that will always, without fail, make them angry?

bringing up her history with the nmc to try and shame her; like yea she’s already deeply ashamed of it and the things she did, u don’t have to go that far..also kind of includes getting on her ass abt not having empathy or compassion, she has a habit of judging by weak/strong/etc and having that kind of toxic mindset that shes trying to break like yea she’s Trying. other than that she takes most insults in stride. she’s kind of self-absorbed so not many things that don’t concern her actually bother her on a personal level

tbh i mostly play rev bc its so brain dead. especially with the changes making demon stance kind of shit and making dwarf better, i just put on the spinny hammers and walk into enemy zergs. I wish i could play ele, it’s such a confusing class to me. i can’t even stay alive in pve lmao

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

She’s quick to joke and quick to laugh! Unless something is seriously bothering her she’s probably the brightest personality in the room.

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

She likes to hope the best of anyone upon first meeting. So long as you don’t act as if you shouldn’t be trusted and you’re not part of a malicious group such as the Court or Inquest, she’s likely to initially trust you.

5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

If you’re part of the Court or Inquest, you have it already. And it only takes one severe mistake for her to watch her step around you. Even less so if you hurt Wrelia. Embrant’s wife may have reconciled with Kvold and befriended him again, but she has most certainly not.

15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

She’s a very spur of the moment talker. Everything is directly from her mind to her mouth, unless at a specifically formal or serious event that requires propriety and forethought.

38. What memory do they revisit the most often?

The first time she saw Wrelia. She spends a lot of time simply gazing lovingly at her wife, remembering how she looked before and how far she’s come now. It’s usually followed by Embrant shoving her face in Wrelia’s now soft rose hair lovingly.

F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?

Excitement and love. She’s just...pure good emotions. I’ve been very intent on keeping all my negativity off of her and a select few others so they can lead genuinely good lives and it leaves such a pure feeling in her.
