Quick rundown of the fishing/skiffs stream!
it will be available through the first chapter of the story
fishing rods will not break!
How it works: You equip your fishing rod and then apply bait and lure on it from your inventory. When you get a catch, a small interface opens where your goal is to keep your little "background bar" on the moving green bar, and being successful in that for a while fills up an endurance bar underneath, granting you the fish at the end.
faster catches and triple xp for fishing
detects nearby fishing nodes
plus 50 fishing power (increases chance of catching rare fish)
unlocks new merchants who sell you fishing-related stuff
skiffs will unlock later on, similarly to springer or jackal, by doing hearts during the story
skiffs seem to be dyeable
they will have more speed settings (three, as it was presented now)
a skiff can fit 5 people on it (owner + passengers)
passengers get emotes, and using them fills the skiff's stamina bar (making the skiff able to go at higher speed)
everyone has to sit while travelling, but once you anchor your skiff people can get up and jump around on it like on any platform.
"fishing party": when everyone on the skiff does fishing (and is successful), everyone gets a buff that increases their fishing power.
