THAT WAS YOU?? HOLY SHIT I LOVED THAT FIC I HAD NO IDEA YOU WROTE IT
OH DANG you read hnwbm?
And yes. I totes did. First big thing I ever wrote! Billy is my trash son :p
You’ve seen the 2000 version too?! My little cousin LOVED that movie and I watched it with her all the time. I actually really enjoyed it but I never let her catch on.
I have! I was exposed to that one first, actually; I only just watched the 1985 version a couple days ago. I think the 1985 one had a more solemn feel, even during goofy moments. I also like that it spent more time showing young Claus the troubles of Man, because it made his conviction and his desire to help ease their suffering that much stronger.
That said, I think the 2000 version is definitely more dynamic. Relationships between characters are more genuine and believable, this version of Ak is warmer and knows more than he lets on, there are more moments with Claus interacting with children and townspeople instead of being a casual observer, and it felt overall like more fun was had with the production and voice work.
Granted, both of them are cheesy as hell, but it’s the right kind of cheese, y’know?
I wish I could say which one was more faithful to the book, though. I’ve never managed to find a copy, and I always forget to look when I’m browsing Amazon.
BLOOOOOOP!!!!
I have a character called Pixie too! (She’s a dragonfly girl.)
Pixie hates walking - not because she’s slow or clumsy on the ground (although she is), but because she finds it boring. Why plod along when you can zip around like a little jet plane? You can’t even SEE anything from the ground!
84 and 91 for Kara?
Applying to both the GMD and the Sonic versions! For mouse or bettong, a Kara is a Kara.
84. What are some physical features that they find attractive on people?
She likes expressive faces! Kara isn’t terribly expressive herself - she tends to have very deadpan voice and features - so people who are very expressive fascinate her!
Other than that, very little will physically stand out for her.
91. What is their sense of humor like?
She doesn’t have one Kara tends toward fairly fatalistic humor. Puns also amuse her (though she tends to be very thoughtful when presented with one, and in fact very rarely laughs aloud at all).
She does not understand sarcasm and hyperbolic humor tends to have her get stuck considering what the hyperbolic situation would actually be like.
