LOVECRAFTOBER: DAY 1 GLOON: Corrupter of the Flesh; Master of the Temple
Affiliation: Court of Yog-Sothoth
The youngest of Yog-Sothoth's spawn, half-sibling of Hastur and 'Umr At-Tawil, Gloon is not the most well known nor powerful of the Great Old Ones. Known to get overexcited when they are given tasks by Yog, they are something of a pleasure to the other Great Old Ones and Outer Gods....because they so desperately want to be seen and praised. Gloon is a master of disguise though, able to literally be invisible to the all-seeing gaze of more powerful deities, allowing them to go under the radar, taking on a variety of forms to hide their true form. Usually Gloon hunts the places between worlds and hidden places for those who would defile or defy the will of the court of Yog-Sothoth. They look up to their older siblings. Hastur can be a tad protective if some elder god thinks they can pick on their stupid, overly excitable slug baby sibling.
Our men searched him for souvenirs, and found in his coat pocket a very odd bit of ivory carved to represent a youth's head crowned with laurel.
Gloon- the basics.

General Correspondences (stars are best guesses):
Epithets: The Laureled One
enn: Hardaes Gloon Ensayes Hah
direction: South
Time of day: night, dawn, the afternoon
colors: silver, sea blue, ivory/white, possibly green, black, and gold
Materia: ivory, sea-stone. any gemstones from the sea, perhaps obsidian.
Symbols/themes: sunken ships, underground cities, false light, Hellenism, art (stonework), curses, communication, violence, condemnation, paranoia and delusion, [TW] suicide
power over the dead/resurrection, embodiment, reality bending, the depths of the unconscious.
Genealogy: I do not know in all honesty. i think the idea of him being a child of Umr-At-Tawil might hold some merit considering the laurel in the ivory image and the false light created by his... underwater temple. as well as the "purity" and "condemnation" talked about by the sailors. Nyarlathotep could perhaps be equal in this regard considering he more easily effects people with more spiritual persuasions or more percepetive/inuitive people, and how easily Gloon interrupts the ship's communications and function of the ship itself.
I think Gloon works by... bending perceptions and causing madness, and possibly having power over the dead. I think he is very powerful in this regard. He could be regarded as a psychopompic deity as well, somewhat.
i just wanted to add the extras I've made so far, that I figured NO ONE would also for

05.03.2019 - Gloon, the Corrupter of Flesh
Humanity might consider itself lucky, for when we stand not even a glimpse of a chance in any struggle against the ancients of the cosmos, for the most part they are too grand in their powers and scale to even consider our existence. We are so young, so small and so insignificat in their plans and designs, that we tend to avoid most of their conflicts and scheming. However some of them Great Old Ones find use or purpose within our frail mortality. Some use us as cultists, leading us like cattle to do their bidding and help in some minuscule way to realize their grand designs. Others consider us morsels in their hunger, or yet diversions in their pursue of amusement. Gloon is amongst the latter, for it displays curiosity bordering on erotic thirst for humanity as a whole. It hides it’s monstrous form with ease, with glamour and spells, usually taking form of beautiful statues of the classical era, stalking the growth of civilization, observing us and our growth, perhaps even helping humanity in search of the pinnacles of debauchery and decadence. Whispering into the dreams of Machiavelli, fuelling the lustful fantasies of De Sade, hiding in the dark desires of collective humanity.

also... a variant Oddish, Gloom, and Vileplume!! these were done fairly quickly, but i'm pretty fond of em now ;p
This Oddish is smaller in comparison to its poison-type counterpart. Additionally, it is binural. The grass atop its head must be trimmed to prevent overgrowth, but the clippings are very useful as a seasoning for food.
Gloom is sometimes cooked whole in a dish, much more commonly than Oddish. It's still more common as a cooking assisstant, however- this Pokémon is quite the connesieur! Its leaves lack the strong flavor of Oddish's, but their largr size allows it some more niche culinary uses.
Vileplume's body has a rank smell, but its flower smells incredibly pleasant. It's not used in culinary settings nearly as commonly as its previous evolutions- instead, it finds success in florist shops with its Sweet Scent move.
