I'm back ^_^

Hello,

As you know, I recently went through a rebrand to focus more on my passion for drawing. However, since I live with my sister and her children, being an aunt is not always easy—especially with a single mother and a 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. job.

Many former Sims players have reached out to me during these past six and a half months of silence, encouraging me to come back. At first, I didn’t want to, but I truly miss creating in 3D, and I also love drawing. So I’ve decided to merge both of my passions.

From now on, each Sims creation will be based on sketches from my series, as a way to keep myself motivated and consistent. I listened to my therapist, and her advice—along with your encouragement—really helped me. I know many of you were hoping for my return to The Sims 2, and I want you to know your wait wasn’t in vain.

To satisfy both of my audiences (comics and Sims), these two passions will now come together.

For now, I’ve paused my Patreon so no one will be charged this month. Payments will only resume once my Sims 2 CC pack and webcomic are up to date.

I also plan to improve my Blender skills to create more “low poly” content, so Sims 2 players can use my creations smoothly. The same approach will apply to my webcomic work.

I may adjust the theme of Red Cosmic(Boys love), making it more panafrican, while keeping the sci-fi aspect for another story. (Don’t worry, I’m keeping the full original story.)

You can rest assured: there will be no charges until I’ve posted new content, and I’ll let you know as soon as everything is available.

A huge thank you again to the 19 patrons who supported me even during those 1 year of no posted content, I was not expect this—I hope you’ll love what I have in store.

I honestly think my game’s been relatively smooth running, all told. On my old HP laptop (I used from 2009 - Nov 2017) all I had was 4GB RAM, but that laptop was a tough old bird to be so outdated. <3

One thing I do is avoid playing in pre-populated worlds, since a lot of the lag I experienced came from stupid townies I don’t give a crap about. So I’d either kill them all off, or play in emptied worlds. (Emptied EA worlds at MTS, unpopulated St. Claire, and my favorite: Builder’s Better Island.

Another thing I do is regulate how much package CC I use. I have 3.6GB of Store content installed that I use (15 EBC files), but package files can slow down the game if you use too many at once, so I always make sure I’m not using more than 400MB of package CC in a save, and I usually merge the files so there’s less to load. (I don’t bother installing non-Store CC with the stupid Launcher  – GOD I hate using 1.69!)

On my old laptop the game would usually load after 30-45 minutes, and it ran hot and loud. I played on medium graphics settings with the FPS Limiter, and never installed Pets or Island Paradise cuz I heard all kinds of horror stories about them being graphics card killers.

On my new piece of crap Dell laptop (Nov 2017 - present) I I’ve installed both EPs, and cranked up the settings to high. I haven’t reinstalled the FPS Limiter though, since I think it won’t work with1.69, since I can’t bypass the Launcher/Origin anymore (grrr~!). But the game runs lightning fast now (the jump from 4GB to 8GB is frikkin incredible, so I can just imagine what beast PCs on 16-32GB RAM can do O_O ). And it’s quiet. My HP was loud AF, poor baby.

Even with the antichrist that is Origin running in the background hogging up all my memory, I can still play the game, surf the internet, have Photoshop/GIMP open, and have Windows Media Player and/or KMPlayer all running together. Usually it says like 70% CPU, 30-50% RAM, and like 80% GPU. On the old PC it was like 95% CPU, 70% RAM,and IDK what the GPU rate was.

So, yeah, that’s me. :P
