beta designs of eternatus finite (these are not in order btw, I have no idea what their order was):
this one had little shoulder gems, and the floating parts were around the tail rather than being wings it looks like. this was also before the gem collar and before I decided to simplify the eyes and not give him any markings
This one had a more complicated headshape, and no gem at all. Their were still the little rib like stuff going down the back, but with 3 instead and they were much smoother. This also was when I started incorporating Dreepy into the design I’m pretty sure?? The wings here are a bit more reminiscent of the actual Eternatus design, but are a bit too over complicated.
Complicated the eye shape here and also gave him markings! I ended up scrapping them cause complicated. The wings were much different here. Also, the gem is present on the belly here, just a bit hard to see.
These two are both more or less just the last one but with different wings. Though, the first has a bit of a tuft of fluff on the back of it’s head, and the second I dropped the markings.
These ones took WAY more inspiration from Dreepy, and I think they might have been some of the first designs?? Since there’s no tail spikes and I remember at first forgetting about Poipole’s existence, so I based them almost solely on Dreepy.
These were more or less the last ones made before the design was finalized. Figured out the wing shape and the gem placement, but this design still has three rib things and no “collar”.
