So, I kinda don’t want Caleb to kill Trent, not because its like reverse psychology or anything, I want one of the other members of the Mighty Nein to do it. Veth, who knew Caleb first, who was his partner in crime, who saw the terrified, broken kid in a 30 year old man, and said, “I’m holding on to this one” even when she was going through some of the worst times in her life. Beau, the first one to push, prod, and support. Who knew the whole story for the longest time, and never said a thing, who represents the weapon that bringing the truth to light is. Fjord, another man who knows how to manipulate people, but has been a pawn himself, and when given power, chose to protect instead of harm. Yasha, another victim of abuse, the one closest to understanding what Caleb went through, finding the same justice for Caleb that killing Obann gave her. Caduceus, the weapon of the Wildmother, gentle but sure, who refused to play in the games that Trent plays and said so right to his face. Jester, the one person Caleb was most terrified to tell, who when she learned about what he did, apologized that he had been put through that, who’s entire philosophy is about bringing down people who need to be brought down a peg or a thousand. I want this man to understand that when he harmed Caleb, he was harming a member of their family, and that they were not going to take it lightly.
