25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31 For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God?
Psalm 18 KJV
Let me be clear… it is only through Jesus Christ’s merits and the gift of His Holy Mother and saints and angels and the infinitude of the Father’s mercy and forgiveness and looooooongsuffering and the good things God put in my more often than not stubborn and selfish and wayward lap, that He calls back to my mind, especially after leading me to truer and deeper surrender. That I can pray with this psalm and after almost every idea just like… exhale-gasp and relateeee and be like “Yes!”
What a wild ride and adventure every day with the Lord is and can be. May Heaven help us remain faithful through tribulation and jubilation all the same.
From fear of or anxiety over the freedom You have afforded me,
Deliver me, O Jesus!
From fear of and anxiety over speaking of You and the gospel and words of warning and encouragement and blessing,
Deliver me, O Jesus!
Jesus, I trust in You.
P.S. - You have been prayed for. :-]
“Pray. Hope. Don’t worry. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” - Padre Pio
Lil cheeky with the “sacred art” tag, hehe. But we are all sacred art. God help me act like that.
