Hey guys my dad has been trying to get funding for a company. I know many of you have health issues and regularly need blood work. Some of you are diabetic and require pricking your finger many times a day. My dad came up with a solution years ago, but never had the money to get it started. The device is a light-based glucometer. It measures your blood sugar without any needles or pain whatsoever. Not even a probe like the ones that claim needle free but aren't. This scans your blood through your skin. You don't even have to actually touch your skin.
We're in the process of getting a company started to produce this device so that diabetics or those with hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia or who need their sugar monitored can do so regularly and without pain.
We have some of the world's leading engineers and scientists involved but we need funding. Right now we've applied to a contest to win some money so we can build the prototype for investors to fund us more heavily.
We have a device about the size of a printer that can measure your blood glucose without needles now, but we need to get the device into something more hand-held for investors to be more interested. There are some other proof-of-concept features we want to include in our prototype. Eventually this device should be able to measure any chemical in your blood with just a quick scan.
If you guys could vote for our idea to help us get some capital, we would greatly appreciate it! Â You just have to register. It takes 30 seconds. Please help us bring an advance in medicine to those who need it!
If you want to help fund it, please message me or stay tuned as I may have more links to share soon. Please reblog too!

I wish I had tried this one! The GLUCOPHONE 😋 This was an integrated cell phone-glucometer launched in 2006 for some LG mobile phones. The "Glucopack" fitted onto the back of the mobile. Glucose strips were placed in a small slot! Results were displayed in the screen (this is not a Smartphone) and then uploaded to a website called "HealthPia". Makes me think about Diario #darioglucometer 🤳. #thediabetestimemachine #glucometer #fingerpricker #fingerpricks #diabetes #fingerpricking #glucophone #diabetictypeone #diabetestype1  #bloodsugar #dexcom #t1d #typeoneproblems #insulin #type1lookslikeme #diabetic #typeonelife #typeonestruggles #insulinpump #minimed670g #infusionsets #typeonelife #insulin #insulinpens #glucosemeter #bloodsugar #type2diabetes #omnipod #medtonic https://www.instagram.com/p/B621s1QhAfI/?igshid=1pcskvxwmpk37
Does your pancreas need a boost? Our new insulin drop will give you a smile when you need it most.Â
Cute stylized insulin enamel pin features the amino acid chains that make up this peptide hormone, made in your pancreas.Â
Insulin is a hormone that helps turn food into energy. After you eat, sugar from food goes into the bloodstream. Insulin unlocks body cells so they can accept a special delivery of sugar (aka glucose). The cell transforms glucose into energy for you to run and play.Â
This is one of three NEW hormone pins (estrogen and testosterone also in the mix) at iheartguts.com. check 'em out or give our hormones a new home!

So I recently was given a glucometer and my sugar levels are the one thing I don’t really have control of. All my other chronic illnesses I have a good idea of how to handle (even though is my sugar levels I’ve had the longest issues with). I hate how when I talk about it to family they just nod with this look on their face. Like I haven’t even spoken, but they’re done talking about my health. It’s literally like 80% of my life to control every, what else can I talk about!!
Hello fellow diabetics around the globe. I have no finally changed to freestyle libre and today is my first day using it. A question has popped up though. Has anybody had problems with it getting caught on stuff likes clothes or loosening too soon? Or loosening after a shower? I haven't had the experience yet and if it should happen, what can one do?
My previous insulin pump, a blue OneTouch Ping, costs $6,500+ new. If any diabetics out there would like a (like new) insulin pump and meter-remote for LESS than 6 grand, let me know! I also have a cute pink case for the pump :) Message me for more info and pictures of my pump and accessories! ~~~ please like and share! (I’m also a broke college kid, not just a diabetic! ha :) )
