Friends who have experience with diabetic cats- when you did a glucose check, did you do the ear or the paw? Did you do it by hand or use the device? Reasons why? I was supposed to get a reading 4 hours after her shot this morning for the vet. Rather than napping, Bug decided the 4 hour mark was an excellent time to want to play, drink from the sink, be squirrelly and overall suspicious of me (she’s pretty suspicious of me in general these days, hahaha). So I was not successful. Vet said not to stress and just try again tonight or over the weekend. Thing is, it has to be at 11:30 am or pm, and if I can’t pull it off I have to take her in to do it and reeeeeally need to not take off more work. This whole situation isn’t ideal for a chronic over-thinker like yours truly. I’ve watched so many videos. I even watched a friend do it to their cat. Whyyyyy am I so anxious about such a tiny thing? “Because you’re always anxious, Jenn!” #cats #whydidithavetobecats #diabetes #felinediabetes #catdiabetes #glucosetest #glucosemeter https://www.instagram.com/p/CXVB8UQLp7H/?utm_medium=tumblr
