Wine-Braised Duck Breast with Mushrooms (Low Spoons 3/10)

I made this and froze it immediately so I’m only just now getting to posting it. Sorry. I served it two ways (over tartiflette and mixed into brown rice), both equally delicious. The meat was so tender and juicy. I carved mine off of a whole duck, but you can just buy duck breasts if you’re feeling lazy. That part wasn’t counted toward the spoons for that reason.

Ingredients:

Glühwein (about a cup)

duck breast

herbs de provence to taste

mushrooms

Water

oil

Directions:

Season duck breasts

Sear the duck breast on all sides

Add wine and mushrooms

Simmer on low until flavours meld

Because it was frozen, I needed some water to give me a good amount of juice.

Ira, 2019 _________________ Drei Jahre musste/wollte ich warten, bis ich Euch diese Bilder zeige. Ich war der Meinung, Weihnachtsmarktbilder zu zeigen, während die Märkte nicht stattfinden, hat keinen Sinn. Nun geht es wieder los. Die Straßen sind wieder verstopft, die Massen schieben sich über den Domplatz. Auch wenn ich mich damit jetzt vielleicht unbeliebt mache, ich fand die Ruhe der letzten beiden Jahre auch toll.
