WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK MY LAB ORDERS DIDN'T HAVE FASTING GLUCOSE ON THEM
I SKIPPED EVERYTHING YESTERDAY MORNING FOR NOTHING???????
you know, it didn't even occur to me when he was writing the lab orders to get him to add the thing that checks for gluten sensitivity. after dinner last night I'm even more curious than before, cause I almost never get sick from cross-contaminated foods (in this case, picking the croutons off a salad instead of just ordering the salad w/o croutons), and I even still just deal with the consequences if something gluten-y is important enough.
I got really sick last night, though, and finding out my vitamin D is low... I mean it could just be because I'm a 40yo woman who stays inside most of the time, or it could be my intestines going crazy from my food originally having the croutons in it. everything else was gf/gs per the menu (outback actually has a specific gf menu in addition to their regular and child menus)
I'm going to keep on with the foods that "may contain" wheat for now, because if I don't there's pretty much NOTHING I can eat at work without going bankrupt from buying ONLY gf foods. I'll have to be specific about not including gluteny ingredients, though. hopefully that'll be enough. :/
