This gluten-free unstuffed cabbage soup is a comforting and hearty meal that's perfect for those with gluten sensitivities. It has all the flavors of traditional stuffed cabbage rolls without the fuss of rolling the leaves. It's a wholesome and delicious soup that's sure to warm your soul.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 small head cabbage, chopped. 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes. 1 8 oz can tomato sauce. 4 cups gluten-free beef broth. 1 cup water. 1 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 1/2 tsp paprika. 1/2 tsp dried thyme. 1/2 tsp dried oregano. 1/2 tsp dried basil. 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional. 2 bay leaves.
Instructions: Over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef in a large pot until it is no longer pink. Get rid of any extra fat. Cut up some onions and garlic and add them to the pot. Keep cooking until the onions become clear. You should add the chopped cabbage and stir it in. Cook for five minutes or until the cabbage starts to wilt. Should you want, you can add tomato sauce, beef broth, water, salt, black pepper, paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes. Put the bay leaves in and mix the whole thing together well. Once the soup starts to boil, lower the heat, cover, and let it cook for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cabbage is soft. Before you serve, take out the bay leaves. Enjoy your gluten-free cabbage soup that isn't stuffed!
