Hm.

I see so many posts saying that trans activism is misogyny.  Lets talk. First off: Gender Roles; Being trans is NOT and NEVER HAS BEEN about gender roles. Someone who is GNC isn’t inherently trans. Someone who has gender dysphoria but is also GNC based on their trans-sexed stereotypes? Still trans. I am a feminine girl. I enjoy wearing feminine clothing, and cute makeup. I like more stereotypical feminine things. That is not why I am trans albeit. It is simply what I enjoy doing, and presenting as. Second: Spaces. REAL Trans women do not invade women’s spaces. Its as simple as that. You say we do and that its misogyny but in reality, the bigger majority of real trans women stay outside of female spaces because of people like you. TERFs and other transphobic women. We stay out of them over fear of what could happen.  So to say we actively seek out and destroy women’s spaces is simply not true. Even for those real trans women who do go into women’s spaces. We don’t do it to “invade” or to assault and/or harass women. We do it because its where we are comfortable. Third: Socialization I have seen more than enough posts saying things along the line of “transwomen show they are men through the ways they speak” the ways they act, and so on so forth. Guess what? Anyone can act any way regardless of gender, birth sex, race, color, sexuality, and so on so forth. I have personally been called a man simply for being stubborn and refusing to side with a TERF. If that makes me a man than in actuality they are a man too. Because they were stubborn and refused to agree with me. I’ve been called a man for using anime gifs. Again, anyone can like anything regardless of what I named above. Me using anime gifs does not make me a man. In reality out of the dozens of people I know who love anime, only a couple are cis men. Fourth: Lesbians Saying a cis lesbian who likes trans women, is bisexual. Is lesophobic in its own way. You are completely invalidating the sexualities of dozens of lesbians.  So to say we’re lesbophobic for speaking the simple truth that SOME lesbians have admitted to liking trans women, is bullshit in its highest. To say that all trans women feel entitled to sex and are fetishistic is wrong as well. I am a real trans woman. I understand completely if someone does not want to have sex with me. That is completely their own choice. I do not fetishize lesbians simply for being one myself. I can NOT control how I was born whether I like it or not, and same goes for you. I was born heterosexual, but because of my transsexualism I am seen as a woman, and a lesbian. Deal with it. Finally: Trans women are real women whether you like it or not, so you better start getting used to it. Because we’re here, we’re real, and we’re just trying to be ourselves.

Just got told about non-binary women, nothing new there.the interesting part though was that they perfectly described GNC women which is kinda worrying.

"this trans person likes being called x gendered term but it doesn't match their gender! they're not really trans" actually dude dysphoria can be weird + someone could be 100% sure they're a binary dude but like being called a feminine term it doesn't make them "secretly cis" some people are just gnc.

I’m not going to pretend there isn’t pressure as a gnc person to identify as trans or nb as an easy explanation for your gnc-ness. However, it would inaccurate to say the pressure doesn’t go both ways. There are a lot of people who are pressured to not identify as trans or nb, because it is seen as “betrayal” to gnc communities or someone wanting to be seen as “special.”

There’s a lot more nuance then just one narrative or the other. The fact of the matter is that society only wants gender conforming cis people. It has little room for the rest of us. Having conversations about what it means to be gnc vs nb vs trans and how those identities intersect and interact is important. Strong communities and resources are necessary so people can explore the differences and develop their identities.
