Oh actually.

Many of the tumblr queer “discourses” have centred around identities which are erased or invisible.

A common tactic of people trying to deny others language in these “discourses” has been to look at the people describing their less visible experiences with oppression, and then scream at them, “oh my god you just want to be oppressed SO badly!!”

It’s a direct weaponization of the invisibility of the experience to further erase that experience.

Basically an, “obviously, if this was a real problem we would have heard about it before now and so you’re making this up to seem oppressed, even though you’re telling us the reason we don’t see it is because of lack of visibility, we don’t believe you and are further going to erase your experiences.”

sick of other trans people looking like a deer in the headlights when reminded that amabs can be nb too. there are really still people in our own community who think a nonbinary person is like. a woman wearing jeans

i've had people treat me visibly different after hearing my voice or seeing my face as if i'm some sort of predator or interloper. this attitude towards amab trans people especially nonbinary people really paints a picture of what the lgbt community thinks of gender in general

a lot of y’all out here making posts about how much you support enbies but will invalidate them if they don’t fit the mold.

the mold is white, naturally androgynous, non aligned, short hair, really skinny, afab, actively transitioning, identifing as trans, binding, pansexual or asexual, listening to indie or alt music, has a crowcore aesthetic, and maybe dyed hair.

let me clarify, if you fit this mold as a nonbinary person, you’re valid and you’re nonbinary. i’m not saying you aren’t.

i’m just saying if this is the ONLY type of nonbinary person you support, you’re enbyphobic.

nonbinary people can be poc, lesbian, gay, bi, amab, binary aligned, not transistioning, not identifying as trans, fat, and overall not fit your “ùwú enby space babey” aesthetic.

let nonbinary people exist the way they do.

stop treating our identities like things to be discussed or debated NO MATTER WHAT SIDE YOURE ON. nonbinary people are nonbinary and are valid, end of convo. our validity was NEVER up for debate. periodt.

It's so validating to me that nothing ever came of the 2015 ace/nb discourse, save for a lot of the prominent voices against ace/nb inclusion in the queer community being outed as abusers/violent raving misogynists. This is 200% me cashing in my "I was right points", but I don't even care. Aces and NB's are part of our community, and I dance on the grave of every leftbians/sobercommunist devotee who engaged in their toxic, exclusionary, TERF-esque rhetoric.

So let's start from the beginning to understand the situation. magic/dayz posted this:

To which I sent this ask that he replied to (but didn't add my tag because I figured maybe they'd listen if I didn't use my openly inclus main blog):

Ok, ok. I figured this could be a kid who just doesn't understand why this is not good. I wasn't able to screenshot my original reply to him from the notes because he blocked me immediately after sending me this.

(@rittz is an exclusionist who basically said that the anon I sent was right about the antisemitism)

But what I said in replies was basically, antisemitism is deeply rooted and often heavily influences media. Even if the people making a show don't intentionally do something antisemitic, this is so deeply rooted that people often make antisemitic caricatures without fully realizing that they've done it. That doesn't make it any less antisemitic. I remember using Mother Gothel from the Tangled movie's design as an example because it ticks a lot of boxes.

I was upset and frustrated so I sent this anon that was more aggressive than I meant it to be and tagged it this time:

And after that came this because I was upset that he kept brushing off a Jewish person telling him he was saying something antisemitic:

And there we go. I think I explained things pretty well in the asks about whats bad and why even if they were much more aggressive and emotional that I'd have liked.
