George and Sapnap in the other room
the things i would give to be a fly on the wall at the twitch con dinner party that tommy, tubbo, kicknap, and consent not found all attended
The fact that when I came back from the cinema wanting to see some cool art and people talking about interesting stuff after something so flipin awesome and the first thing i see was the dream team being so fucking rude during a CHARITY EVENT for their DEAD FRIEND is honestly so disheartening.
My grandfather was so lucky to get cancer twice and survive both times, I knew someone who lost her dad to cancer. I know someone who survived childhood cancer. One of my great grandparents died of cancer, my family on both sides is extremely family oriented if he never died I would have met him. The fucking disrespect that they showed should not be laughed at, it shouldn’t be encouraged.
The fact they were playing airhorns during Technodad’s speech, one that should have been respected and really quiet durning and no one interrupting is the fucking worse. I don’t care if dteam fans say that it’s funny and Techno would have laughed because it’s not the fucking point!!!
The whole festival was a charity event in honour of their friend, and for Technodad his fucking son. No one should have gone though this. I don’t care if this comes across as rude or overreacting because the dteam need to grow the fuck up and learn that their actions have fucking consequences for once.
This isn’t supporting a brand that’s actually a scam, this isn’t saying something offensive by accident. This is being rude and disrespectful.
And it even hurts that none of their fans are going to care a single bit because I don’t fucking know maybe they’ll say “but it was a joke” or “dream has ADHD your being ableist” because none of that shit matters when you realise that neither of those things matter when it’s about respect.
These are the same fans who will defend these mother fuckers to the grave but when someone like Niki Niahchu accidentally uses avae because she doesn’t know about American history or what avae is because she lives in Germany(or any non American country because the world doesn’t revolve around you fuckers) and is called overreactive during mcc and having a lot of stress put onto her and BREAKS DOWN ON STREAM it’s ok because they think it is.
I want dteam fans to see this post and be uncomfortable, I don’t care if I’m being mean to your pretty white boys because they have been allowed to do anything with a platform that is way to big for them for too long. I’m allowed to be angry as well, I’m allowed to be mean, I’m not apologising to you if you feel sad that I’m being mean about them because they need to grow up.
Charlie had every right to tell dream to shut up during that stream.
Edit: I’m not going to be answering anymore asks about this post, I want my blog to be a personal space for me. This post wasn’t supposed to get as big as it has and just for me to rant. I’m only going to be accepting art requests and general asks and nothing about this. I’m 14 please leave me alone.
ik u guys don’t post much anymore but thoughts on what’s happening with george and caiti?
First of all, support Caiti and don't let this overshadow all the things she has accomplished, or her career. She's incredibly brave, and I hope she's doing ok atm.
George can go fuck himself, dream is a piece of shit for trying to downplay what happened and also all of the stuff he posted on his priv is just him going "i had nothing to do with this I am in now way related to all of this and also nothing bad happened" in typical dream fashion. I dont know if George streamed yet but I'm not watching that shit, if someone reuploads it or transcribes it I'll look through it probably just to see how bad he's fucking it up.
Anyway I need both of them gone and i hope every single person still defending white minecraft YouTubers a very die.
Either way, Support and believe victims and prioritise the women who have spoken up and told us their stories, not the pathetic men who have hurt them.
like the idea of tricking a minor into a very sexual “joke” where the punchline is that you and your friend are coaching him in how to pose his in game character so it looks like you’re engaging with sexual acts with them is so fucking disgusting. why did dream and george think that the idea of tommy being placed in a sexual situation without his knowledge was fucking funny. or if it was a pre planned bit that’s even worse bc you told a sixteen year old ““hey let’s do this “joke” where the punchline is that one of us is giving you a blowjob while you’re unaware”” like that’s fucked up behaviour. that’s beyond any defendable joke the punchline was that it looked like george an adult and tommy a minor were engaging in sexual acts in the game and that tommy was unaware. genuinely so pissed that got swept under the rug btw. it is bad to simulate sexual acts with a sixteen year old in minecraft even if it is a “joke” and that’s far creepier than anything tommy could have conceivably ever said even if his jokes were uncomfortable sometimes. and they were the ones that should have known better bc they were grown ass men!
Can I just say though like I hate that I see takes of the ccs that told gnf to stop interrupting technodad (and him saying I didn't do anything teehee right after mygod) "were just joking and it was just a bit". And it's really the last thing I wanna say because the events focus should be on techno/the donations. But this really deserves to be called out.
Like listen to yourself. Srsly listen to yourself right now. In what world is it funny to interrupt someone's father in a speech about him in an event about him when he died a year ago and his birthday was a few days earlier and that part of the "bit" is being called out by other ccs who look uncomfortable. None his actions were funny. It was deeply uncomfortable and disrespectful. It was sad that ccs had to tell him, a 26 year old, that there's a time and place and had to remind him the event was for charity and for Techno. It's a shame that he doesn't care and people are unwilling to find this disrespectful and pretend it's a joke to further allow gnf to stray away from being held accountable.
Would you act this way at a charity event live? Even in private? Ask yourself, if it's a good fun joke what's the punchline? If it's not serious/people are overreacting then what's unserious about it? Be serious and realize your cc is grown up and still immature and careless. And it's such an upsetting part to a wonderful event that was never meant to be distracted from.
I love seeing a person I have never liked get called out for being a bad person.
like damn sorry. not to be a schlannie on main but the “george’s shitty attitude is just is online personality” debate does not hold up.
i finally watched a slimecicle pov of the event (i couldnt watch all of it bc i got overstimulated by tommy. i am weaker than i once was saury) and schlatt was incredibly respectful and chill during the event without even losing his online persona.
schlatt, admittedly, has always had a pretty on-the-fence online presence. i’ll be the first to say that schlatt has done and said things while in his character that i dont approve of. that being said, he clearly knows when to play it up and when not to. i remember during an unboxing stream he was joking about mail he’d gotten from a russian fan some time after the Ukrainian war began. but when he noticed the joke starting to cross a line, especially within his chat, he pulled back.
likewise, during the event, schlatt kept up with his usual jokes that define his persona. at the same time, he remained respectful to other players, provided support for tubbo when a bit went too far, and then finally used his influence to tell tommy off for being a bit too brash during the game itself, firmly telling tommy to donate to the charity as a way of making up for his misbehavior.
keep in mind, schlatt is younger than gnf. he has seniority in his time as a creator, sure, but gnf’s problem is his absolute immaturity. its not a “gnf is newer to being a cc” type of problem.
i am not praising schlatt as a saint. i dont know the guy and i have more important things to worry about in my life than youtuber drama. but, this dichotomy is too overlooked for being *so* clear to see. i think its important to recognize gnfs shitball actions, and it’s equally important provide an example of someone doing things right. especially in this context, where the setting of these two different approaches to online personas were the same cancer charity event.
lastly, i dont know personally gnf either, but i dont think causing a motor vehicle accident, injuring another person in it, and then playing it off as a joke entirely off stream can be considered “online”.
