How can you like the character while ignoring everything that’s actually canon about them? If you ignore that, then you don't really like the character—simple as that; you like the version of them that exists in your head.

I don't get it.

I mean, sure, the writing might be bad—you can agree with that—but ignoring everything canon about the character?

After seeing a lot of takes on Twitter, dreams message had the intended consequences.

People believe quackitys "ghosting and miscommunication" is the cause of dream and his family to be stalked and harassed. People believe quackity is holding qsmp hostage from joining usmp (specially bbh thus quackity is "pitting best friends against each other!"). They believe that dream is being too kind because why else would he "see the best in quackity, which is clear in the message".

Yeah it had the intended effect. Dream will always manipulate his fanbase against others no matter what because he can never be wrong, he never knows better, and he never creates harm. And as a consequence the "infighting" that he lied about never playing a part in is getting worse and instead of things ending with the statement, quackity is being harassed. Great job.

But "dream said he doesn't support harassment and racism!" Does he not? Because it doesn't seem like that message was for or got through to his fanbase and supporters considering he has always claimed he's not responsible for them and doesn't care about the consequence of the message.

A real and mature adult cc would've kept this "conflict" private, called out harassment directly if need be, talked about his experience with the doxx/harassment in a separate post if he needed to share that, and never have instigated anything in the first place. He would've focused on his smp the end. But dream has never been mature, nor does he ever want to be considering he successfully gets away with things by acting the way he does.

what i'm getting out of all this is that the support of this community (fans and ccs) is very conditional and depends on how much likes your tweet will get for speaking up for someone

Can I just say though like I hate that I see takes of the ccs that told gnf to stop interrupting technodad (and him saying I didn't do anything teehee right after mygod) "were just joking and it was just a bit". And it's really the last thing I wanna say because the events focus should be on techno/the donations. But this really deserves to be called out.

Like listen to yourself. Srsly listen to yourself right now. In what world is it funny to interrupt someone's father in a speech about him in an event about him when he died a year ago and his birthday was a few days earlier and that part of the "bit" is being called out by other ccs who look uncomfortable. None his actions were funny. It was deeply uncomfortable and disrespectful. It was sad that ccs had to tell him, a 26 year old, that there's a time and place and had to remind him the event was for charity and for Techno. It's a shame that he doesn't care and people are unwilling to find this disrespectful and pretend it's a joke to further allow gnf to stray away from being held accountable.

Would you act this way at a charity event live? Even in private? Ask yourself, if it's a good fun joke what's the punchline? If it's not serious/people are overreacting then what's unserious about it? Be serious and realize your cc is grown up and still immature and careless. And it's such an upsetting part to a wonderful event that was never meant to be distracted from.
