I got a very bright study room for this afternoon. I have a meeting with my advisor later, so I booked a room in order to be able to talk and not disturb anyone.

We’ll be talking about my last paper of my BA Thesis. I kind of can’t believe I made it this far. I’m really proud of myself. I’m hoping to end on a strong note with the best mark yet.

Me, an intellectual (who wrote her BA Thesis about this very topic): The Vampire as a literary device literally developed out of east European folk stories as a way to explore anxieties and fears around sex. You’re supposed to want to fuck them, that’s the whole point!

my question to academics, especially ones with ADHD is

HOW do you pick a field of interest and stick with it?

I’m finishing up 2 full BA degrees at the same time English and Japanese and I’m just over here like English BA thesis what, time to study chinese kanji and Chinese …. I’ve been also being like yes I wanna study folklore and film and anthropology and it just don’t stop until I hyperfixate on something else. 

Current goal is get a teaching degree, original plan was international relations.
