GODDESS SOPHIA

For those of us on the path of inner transformation Sophia has always been there to guide us.I have long since come to grips with how sexism and fertility cults misusing Her image have tarnished the Mother Goddess name. I can assure you, Woman Wisdom is the Old Testament telling of the Holy Spirit. She is the Ruah- the breath- of God and has always been the reflection of the Eternal Light. 

I have personally found Her prayer to be immensely powerful in my spiritual awakening and I came across a really cool variation of it today. Please feel free to pass it on to others as well. Peace be with you.

THE LADY PRAYER

Divine Mother, Whose Essence lies in all, Goddess is Thy name. Thy blessings come, My will be done In accordance with Your Divine Plan. Give me this day, the wisdom to co-create For the good of all, with harm to none. And bless me with compassion for those I do not understand, As well as those who do not understand me. Illuminate Thy path of Truth before me, And awaken me from my own illusions. For Thou art the Universe, Love and Spirit within. So be it! Blessed Be.

CYCLIC EXISTENCE

(18) The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be." Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death."

Think of a circle. It has no beginning and no end. Just one eternal loop that carries on into itself indefinitely. Our lives are carried out in similar fashion. Our bodies are formed from dust and to the dust they will return. Our consciousness formed in the image of God- in His image of mind- returns to that from which it came. NOTHING ever really dies. It merely changes forms. You are eternal. Pass it along.

GNOSTIC MYSTICISM

I wanted to share the following excerpt with you because I find the near eastern concept of the chakras fascinating. In the Acts Of Thomas there is poem titled the "Hymn of the Pearl" where it interweaves several of the motifs from the New Testament into one beautiful story. We see aspects of the Prodigal Son blended with the tale of the merchant who sells his possessions to gain one pearl which represents the Kingdom of Heaven.

However, the main theme in this epic is actually the restoration of the robe which represents the human souls journey from the lower realms of the material world to the higher realms of spiritual understanding. The climax of this epic poem represents the union of the believer (the prince) with Jesus (the prince's brother), with whom he inherits the Kingdom of God.

What we have here is a near eastern telling of the rising of the Kundalini. This poem, which rivals the epics of ancient Greece, shows us what every human being can achieve; a union with the Divine.
