Here is my first ever fanvid!!! (˶ ° ᵕ ° ˶ );;;

I absolutely LOVE watching fanvids and have mad respect for those creative enough to make them on the regular.

I've never made one before ever in my life because I feel like video-editing is a whole 'nother ballgame (different from making fanarts or writing fanfics) -- but thanks to the Gallavich Newbies Week 2026 hosted by @gallavichthings , I finally challenged myself and tried my hand at it 🎉

The song is "Genghis Khan" by Miike Snow, and I think the lyrics fit first-seasons Gallavich so much so that's the one I went with!

Narrowing down the scenes to use was a ✨process✨ because I kept getting distracted and ended up downloading loads more screencaps than I needed 😅

Anyway! I'm pretty happy with the end result, even if I can't quite get the pacing right and I didn't get to use all the clips/scenes I wanted lol

I hope you enjoyed watching the vid as much as I enjoyed making it!! 🩵🧡🖤♥️

Here's my last minute addition to Gallavich Newbies Week, hosted by @gallavichthings !

I wasn't sure what to do for the event, because while I've been writing on and off for 30 years, I've written very little fic and even less for Gallavich (something I'm slowly changing). But then it occurred to me that what I'm REALLY a newbie at is fanart. I don't think I've ever made any fanart before! An artist, I am not. So I drew a little something:

Behold, Mickey in all his Old Army glory! Sketched with mechanical pencil (0.7mm if you're interested) in my notebook. Colored with my kids' Crayola colored pencils - I was originally thinking about using alcohol markers, but I have no idea where my daughter put them. Probably for the best as I think I would have made a mess!

Here's the initial sketch before I colored it:

So there you have it! I actually had a lot of fun with this, I'm not in a hurry to start doing more art but this was fun.

Hello, Gallavich newbies!

This is your fairy god cross here with a fic writing guide that I made just for you!

This guide is 6,700 words of wisdom on writing both fanfic and original works intended for everyone (18+ because it contains a girthy section on writing smut). Whether you're a total beginner or have dabbled in writing in the past and just want some extra tips and tricks, this guide is for you.

If you have no idea who I am and are wondering why you should listen to me, cool! Sounds like you're a critical thinker. I'm Cross. I write stuff. And draw stuff. I've only been in the Gallavich fandom for a few years, but everyone here is super chill and welcoming, and most people seem to like when I put words online. I had no idea what to do for Gallavich newbies week. But, I haven't done any traditional art in years, and never for the Shameless/Gallavich fandom.

And though I have used alcohol based markers in colouring books, I've never used them on an original piece.

So this is what I came up with!! Thank you so much to @gallavichthings for hosting the event!!

Completed with alcohol-based ink markers and white gel pen. Took approximately 2 hours???
