[ text to: dragon ] Hey, are we still up for tonight?
His books left untouched, yawn masked behind the back of his hand, the young teen lifted himself up from his papers and blinked at the illuminating message flashing across his cellphone screen. He groaned and reached for it, eyes quickly reading over the words before he jolted up almost instantly. The plans! Aish, how could he have forgotten? Ilhoon was up and about his room trying to gather his clothes and things before he texted a message to his hyung.
[ text to: harbinger ] Sorry, hyung, I fell asleep earlier--I'll be down in a few minutes. Can you wait maybe five minutes?
"Hey, I know you've been bullied by some losers lately, but if you got a girlfriend or something I'm pretty sure they'll get off your case about your friend and you. Why don't you do that?"
"That’s the thing — I really don’t want a girlfriend right now. I just have a lot on my mind that I need to clear up before I even think about getting any sort of significant other.”
"Hey, hyung, wanna go out for a bit? I need to buy some stuff and I don't really fancy getting lost in the city again..."
"Ze. Lo." Yeongjin tilts his head at the incoming male, body stiff and fixated in one spot, just like his gaze at the taller boy. He seems more tired than usual but that's probably because of exam season. Even with a computer for a brain, Yeongjin supposes his imperfection comes from the lack of coding on his part - he's not finished yet so naturally he's a little faulted. "Of. Course. What. Did. You. Want. To. Buy?"
Rivalry: I’ll write a drabble of our characters having a rivalry between each other.
[ typ: Sorry this sucks. I shoud hang up the towel when it comes to drabbles tbh. ]
Every once in awhile, the underground club, or "joint" holds multiple different types of battles amongst the goers and outsiders that are interested in the events being held. The event for the night was a dance battle. Jongup normally went to these things and even joined in but he never cared about winning or losing. He has won a few times but nothing really goes to his head, though for once, something struck a cord within the usual docile boy. The name of someone he's heard much about his dancing around the school, Zelo.
After hearing such things about his dancing, Jongup made-up a little competition within his own mind. Walking through the crowd, he made his way towards stage right where all the contestants had gathered, seeing the tall boy tower over everyone started to get the shorter of the two's blood boiling. He just wanted to see the other's dancing and how good he really was.
"Oh, Uh- hello," Jongup dipped his head slightly to the taller male as he moved to stand next to him, straightening up he looked up to the other with a bright smile upon his face.
"Hey," the other replied, "I'm looking forward to seeing you perform."
He took the words right out of Jongup's mouth, but he hadn't a clue that younger male was anticipating his own performance like he was with him.
As their fellow contestants performed in groups against one another, Jongup occasionally watched and practiced slightly in the background while the other's watched them perform.
It was finally down to the two staring, or rather glaring at one another as they stood on the stage with the spotlight beaming down on them. The taller male was was calm, cool, and collected as the audience cheered and hollered. The music started to fade in and the other quickly spoke, "good luck." The smirk he wore left Jongup questioning if there was a secret meaning behind it.
While Jongup was lost in his thoughts for a few moments the other had started to dance and the audience started to cheer for him. As the other showed off some of his skills, he patted Jongup on the shoulder which, snapping out of his thoughts. He gave the other a little smirk before he he danced his way to center stage and quickly allowing his body to flow as one with the rhythm, melody, and timbre.
As the audience cheered the taller one butted back in, his moves like he was starting a fight. Jongup kneeled onto the ground, going back to his old school b-boy style from Manhattan. Zelo was just as good as everyone said. Even if he was tall and lanky he had perfect rhythm and had enough skills to do semi-b-boy type moves.
The two continued their battle, getting more and more aggressive as the other cut in to show off more of their skills by the time the three minutes were up the two were out of breath.
"Like they say, you're pretty good," he huffed before taking a swig of water.
"I was just about to say the same.." the shorter commented. "Very impressive.." As much as Jongup didn't want to admit it at that moment in time the other did deserve the compliment and honestly, he was sure Zelo was going to win this one but there will be other's right? The two are good rivals for each other, keeps them trying harder and harder.
