I firmly maintain that the Them remember the events of that Sunday. Maybe not immediately, maybe like a dream, but they will remember it, each on their own (until they eventually all talk about it together.) Because magic shouldn’t just be hidden in the world, and great deeds shouldn’t remain unknown to those who did them. Because the minds of ten- and eleven-year-olds are very open to possibility and very difficult to change when they don’t want to be changed. And because leaving one’s friends peacefully and safely ignorant is all well and good, but there is very little more terrible than being all alone.
