A Field Test || Closed
All things considered, the Doctor was itching to test the new body he had taken for himself.
The human, Frisk. They were far too trusting, too eager to make a new friend. They appeared in his VOID without any idea of who he was or what he could do to them.
It was that foolishness that now brought them before a wooden door, floating amidst the endless nothingness.
Their consciousness was but a fading flicker of light, as Gaster made himself at home in their body.
Walking through the door, Gaster found himself before a simple, tidy home in the RUINs. He had seen it many times before, both in his own explorations, and in Frisk’s memories.
His unique perspective was funnelled through the child’s eyes. Through them, he felt a shocking sense of focus. It was not unlike one’s view through a telescope - limiting, yet enhanced.
Not unlike the field test he had conducted in the VOID, the Doctor took small, dutiful strides to the front door of the house, raising a small, fleshy hand to knock upon the door.
“Hello!” the child’s voice rang out. He didn’t know which timeline he had appeared in - whichever was most capable of hosting his presence - and thusly he knew not what lied behind this door.
Little did he know, the one within the house was not the same Toriel he once served.
