DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (2025-) 1.08 Isle of Joy
Curiosity killed the cat,
Satisfaction will not bring it back.
New sfawtde/don't turn left theory
Those mudbrick tunnels are places of reality bent and shifted. Portals, almost, if you will. To the next step in the journey. They'll show up in different spots for Avery. Different places. A different way to the King. It makes a different path to itself. Avery takes a different path. Turns right instead. So the King bends space around him in order to lead him to it. There is no escape. There is no escape.
There will be one final crossroads. And I believe that is the only point you ever truly get to make a choice for your own. One tunnel leads into a strange darkness. The other back to the mine.
And curiosity pulls you in and in and in to the black.
It's up to Avery to choose if he will be the dead cat. Or the one that will never know the truth.

Gentle reminder that "others won't love you unless you love yourself" is a lie typically said by people who think they sound clever. It's an awful thing to say to someone who struggles with self-love. You are not unlovable because of your struggle, and anyone who tells you different is wrong. Love from others is often a positive influence; knowing you are loved can teach you aspects of loving yourself through example.
Isolating people who struggle with self-love doesn't teach them self-love, it teaches them to blame themselves for for something that's not their fault.
It's absolutely a good thing that you try when you can, the effort is important, you deserve to love yourself, you are worth the time and effort it takes for you to learn for you to love yourself.
But loving yourself is not a prerequisite to being loved. People choose to love, and if someone says, "I refuse to love anyone who struggles with loving themself" then that says more about them than it does about you, and you're probably better off without their influence anyway.
