𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐘 𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 , 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒 . gloved hand covering part of dark strands , trying to be kept in shape as machine was exited , expression stoic . this did not felt like the last time . this was different . stomach about to turn upside down , focus wandering onto familiar face appearing in between dozens of stressed people hovering the platform . ❛ hermann ! ! ❜ arms reach out to wrap around , one of the few she came as close to . shivering . ❛ i am so sorry , i came as quick as possible . ❜ sun still waiting to rise , darkness covering friends with its smothering blanket . RUSHED NIGHT , change of place , of mood way to abrupt to be grasped . a moment is taken , fear gripping tight . tongue almost refused to press out words , frightened gaze locking in with opposite ones . ❛ is it true ? ? ❜ LET IT BE A LIE . but another nightmare .
AT THE END OF OUR TIME, WE HAVE CHOSEN NOT ONLY TO BELIEVE IN OURSELVES, BUT IN EACH OTHER. TODAY, WE TAKE THE FIGHT TO THEM.

no . ever since the beginning amelia had quite some respect from hermann and would never dare to steal his food . especially during times of war , with the little luxury that was provided and the mostly rationed portions she would have rather shared her amount with him than sneaking something from his . she knows that both of her colleagues in the lab frequently forget to eat next to all the work that has to be done , so snacks bought on the blackmarket in the bone slums were gladly given to the other . after mission pitfall and the closing of the breach , enjoying pretzels and other sweets together became some sort of tradition on long days , nights without sleep .
𝟼 ) 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝’𝚜 𝚊 𝚝𝚘𝚙𝚒𝚌 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢’𝚛𝚎 𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚖𝚢 𝚖𝚞𝚜𝚎 ?
considering hermann one of the closest , if not best friend she has , amelia feels quite comfortable to talk about all sorts of things around him . trust has been established pretty quick , probably because of his rather calm and analytical character and his ability to listen without judging too easily , giving advice rather than blaming her for her decisions . the only thing she is very reluctant to open about is her break up with newt and everything that followed after . he was the first person to tell , the one who helped her getting through and gave comfort . still . knowing that they were close friends as well prevented her from digging too deep , even afraid to tell when he returned after years of radio silence .

i do not think the two of them have a lot of fall outs . very respectful towards each other from the start , problems would surely be brought up and discussed in a quiet and polite manner . hermanns opinion is very important to amelia , so she is always eager to listen and benefit of his life and work experiences .
