gonna go for a longshot and guess the word "wing"
ahahaha, jack im so sorry but i have not written a single word for the next paladin au chapter yet........but here is a line from an original piece I was working on that is also about angels:
"Rather, Fisher would go about his day and occasionally Raphaeim would appear, with a flourish of a thousand wings and a golden, brass cry of greeting."

ohh man this has so much like, interesting potential and its so good but all i can think is corvo going into a outsider dream and its just lrb emily and the outsider chilling playing go fish or smth. so stupid
GOOD stuff
so DC have realised canning vertigo was a really dumb idea, so they’re introducing ‘the sandman universe’ which is basically just all the books people liked from vertigo back under one imprint, which just makes you wonder why the hell they bothered closing vertigo in the first place...
but, net positives from this deeply weird management decision - they’re recognising that hellblazer fans would like an actual hellblazer comic for a change (don’t get me wrong, I do really like Nu52/Injustice/Rebirth John, but he’s very much not the Hellblazer) so he’s getting a ‘sandman universe’ ongoing, which I would be hype for anyway, but it’s being written by si ‘you think your comic is quirky but it’s got no mushroom people or queer trans police detective characters so you’re clearly a coward’ spurrier. si ‘non-binary people have the power to shape the literal divine and also it’s a metaphor for homophobia in evangelical christianity’ spurrier. si ‘you made this character every gross stereotype about mentally ill people so now he’s my romantic lead and point of view character and also i’m going to actually explore his mental health like you never did’ spurrier. si ‘fuck continuity this comic takes place in my head hows that for continuity’ spurrier. (and yes those are all comics he’s written, although the last one is more a general summary of his approach to the x-men than one specific run *cough*x-force*cough*)
and I honestly can’t think of a better writer to reintroduce hellblazer to the vertigo universe. he does weird, he does queer, he does stories about mental health issues, he does dark and tragedy and he does hope. he’s english, which makes a really nice change. he’s deeply bad at continuity, but this is technically a new universe so that really doesn’t matter. he’s such a good fit for this character, and I am so excited.

Ennay from the Godshaper series.
ABC BPC: Feelings - F is for Frustrated This graphic novel had fantastic artwork and interesting concepts, and I was curious to see where it would go with these concepts, but then it just...ended.
my top art of 2017. It’s been a year.
