There’s a spirit somewhere in one of the Plateau obelisks where a guard muses about how the Pathfinder came into the prison a boy [and left as a general].

Now I cannot help but imagine a twelve year-old Pathfinder sharing a jail cell with some seasoned thieves and criminals and whatnot, and he’s just in there for talking smack about the Tall Ones. Truly, the Spirit Isle’s justice system leaves nothing more to be desired

#the pathless #godslayer #pathfinder #genuinely though i get that the isle was probably a place where monks and other strongly devoted people lived #so speaking out against the Tall Ones was definitely a big no-no #but they straight up put a kid behind bars for it like guys.#maybe if we heard him out we could have gently cleansed the idea of a One True Path from his mind #and nobody would have died #but on the funny side of things it is absolutely hilarious to imagine just this. boy. in jail with people who actually maybe deserve it #many thoughts i have on the pathfinder as a kid tbh. what brought his thoughts to that question i wonder
