OMOLU/OBALUAÊ
Apesar de desde criança ver em casas que meus pais frequentavam, pôsteres, fotos e calendários da clássica Yemanjá, o primeiro orixá que me chamou atenção foi Omolu.
O negro de roupa de palha cobrindo a cabeça, pra mim era um mistério. E comprei o livro de bolso na banca de jornal, sem saber muito do que se tratava. O livrinho nos anos 80, virou um verdadeiro catecismo para os iniciados da religião.
Minha mãe, apesar de umbandista, ela pegou o livro e me perguntou:
_Como você teve coragem de comprar isso?
Nunca tive pudores com minha curiosidade, sempre li de tudo, do espaço sideral ao submundo da magia.
Até hoje, o considero um dos orixás mais bonitos do candomblé.
O orixá da doença e da cura, o velho pai, o filho adotivo de Yemanjá.
Dizem que Omolu/Obaluaê esconde seu corpo por vergonha das cicatrizes da varíola, motivo pelo qual foi abandonado por Nanã Buruquê.
Iansã curiosa, quis saber como era Omolu por debaixo da roupa. Lançou um vento que a levantou totalmente, e o que se viu, para a surpresa de todos os orixás presente, um negro lindo, maravilhoso.
Na minha experiência com as religiões afro-brasileiras, eu senti que Obaluaê é o orixá que mais bem cuida dos seus filhos.
Em sua maioria, filhos de Obaluaê são altivos, sua presença é sentida onde quer que entre. Raro são os filhos de Obaluaê que não são vencedores na vida.
Sua comida é famosa: Pipoca.
Seu mês é agosto, onde os barracões comemoram o Olubajé e há procissões dos terreiros em nome do Omolu.
Procissões pequenas, infelizmente.
A religião é carregada de preconceito, e pessoas se afastam quando os fiéis entram nas ruas.
Se ela passar pela sua rua e lhe oferecerem a pipoca de Omolu, aceite. Ela é um poderoso amuleto de proteção e limpeza.
Em rituais afros, a pipoca é um item mágico que absorve energias negativas, muito utilizada para rituais de saúde e descarrego. Este ingrediente mágico poderoso pertence a Obaluayê, Orixá da saúde e da evolução. da cura do corpo e do espírito
Jogue ela em cima da cabeça ou no quintal. Na faxina varra normalmente. Ela limpa espiritualmente o ambiente.
Ok, se não quiser se meter, recuse educadamente ou aceite as pipocas e depois jogue em agua corrente ou num matinho, com respeito.

Although since I was a child I saw in houses that my parents frequented, posters, photos and calendars of the classic Yemanjá, the first orixá that caught my attention was Omolu.
The black guy in the straw suit covering his head, for me, it was a mystery. And I bought the pocketbook at the newsstand, not knowing much about what it was about. The booklet in the 80's became a true catechism for the beginnings of religion.
My mother, though a bandit, she took the book and asked me:

I've never had a lot of curiosity, I've always read everything from outer space to the underworld of magic.
To this day, I consider him one of the most beautiful orixás in candomblé.
The orixá of sickness and healing, the old father, the adopted son of Yemanjá.
It is said that Omolu/Obaluaê hides his body out of shame from the scars of smallpox, which is why he was abandoned by Nanã Buruquê.
Curious Iansã, wanted to know what Omolu was like under his clothes. He cast a wind that lifted her up completely, and what was seen, to the surprise of all the orixás present, a beautiful, wonderful black.
In my experience with Afro-Brazilian religions, I felt that Obaluaê is the orixá that best cares for their children.
For the most part, obaluaê's children are flashy, their presence is felt wherever they enter. It is rare for the children of Obaluaê who are not winners in life.
Its food is famous: Popcorn.
Its month is August, where the sheds commemorate the Olubajé and there are processions of the terreiros in the name of the Omolu.
Small processions, unfortunately.
Religion is fraught with prejudice, and people turn away when the faithful enter the streets.
