BATTRA x READER FRIENDSHIP HCs
CREDIT FOR ART: buhoo115 on Reddit (r/GODZILLA)
You are the only human Battra cares for (he tolerates the rest of the human race)
^ meaning Monarch allows you to exist peacefully alongside Battra somewhere around Japan
Battra likes taking you on flights
Whenever someone comes to visit you, Battra watches closely (you have to reassure him that you're fine)
You have memorized what his clicks mean by now
He bows his head to you and allows you to touch his head (while he touches your hand with his antennae) as a greeting
Battra would protect you from the other kaijus if it ever came down to it
He often leaves to hunt, and will come back with a giant squid or tree (he will either give it to you or use it as a chew toy)
He can often be found napping on your island
He sometimes rolls in the sand to clean himself off
When Battra travels to a random location to catch up with Mothra, he always comes back (sometimes with Mothra)
He allows you to fall asleep against him (in which he stays very still) (he isn't a very good pillow, he's not fluffy like Mothra, he moreso has the texture of a raisin) (but he is warm so ig that's good)

Since Battra doesn't have much lore, and kaijus don't exist irl, I researched the behaviors of elephants, orcas, blue whales, sperm whales, and polar bears! Enjoy :)
The Monsterverse has lost what made it special: the sense of reverence and terror that the Titans inspire. In Godzilla (2014) or KotM you felt the weight of Godzilla's every step. People rooted for him against the villains, but knew that Godzilla remained an indifferent force of nature that trampled cities without a second thought because some of the pov was also the one of the humans. Now it's all "spectacle" that boils down to "look how cool Godzilla is jumping and destroying the city! People dying? Who cares! ATOMIC BREATH GO ZOOOOM" or moving into the Hollow Earth, where everything is kaiju-sized and they lose what makes them stand out in a world of humans.
I'm still a Monsterverse fan though because hey, a giant lizard with atomic breath—it's impossible not to be a fan, and I'm actually grateful for the Monarch series which still presents this aspect. In the latest Monarch episode I really loved Kentaro's nightmare because it perfectly captures those emotions: you're living your life and then suddenly you find yourself having to seek shelter because King Godzilla is stomping through your city
imagine living in the Godzilla universe and one day you loose your job because the government needed to cut costs for re-constructing ur city because Godzilla destroyed it while fighting THIS GUY:
Happy (Late) Godzilla Day!!
This took me so long to finish, but absolutely worth the effort! So many Godzillas, and yet these aren't all the different looks Godzilla's gone through. But this is definitely the most amount of characters on a canvas I've done thus far.
We have OG Godzilla and Kiryu Saga Godzilla talking to each other, probably how the humans took the bones of OG to build Kiryu(Mechagodzilla).
Then there's Burning Godzilla protecting Little Godzilla from Spacegodzilla.
Below them is Godzilla from Final Wars flipping off literally anyone really. Which makes sense, in his movie he more or less one-shot most of the monsters he fought. Or at least won with little issues until the final boss.
We have Monsterverse Godzilla meeting the different forms of Shin Godzilla, and being a little confused how he went from the little guy to the big guy.
And last, but absolutely not least, GMK Godzilla and Minus One Godzilla are in a roaring match, probably about to throw down. No idea who'd win, but GMK is a little bigger. And fought and killed three monsters already. So might have the edge.
Okay but I couldn't help but put those two together because of the similarities between the two(going out of their way to kill humans, having regenerative properties(or at least faster than usual for being Godzilla), the end scene specifically for that last point, and just being absolute menaces in their movies.
Edut: oh and I forgot to mention, I used my SH Monsterarts figures as the ref for their poses!!
This is the first of my Godzilla ocs that I finally got around to working on. Its a part of my own little Godzillaverse. The idea is to have one oc for each of the film eras (Showa, Heisei, Millennium, Monsterverse, and Reiwa) with Genzolar here being the Showa rep. read on for more info and enjoy!
Illusion Monster
Genzolar
Hight: 70 meters
Weight: 60,000 Metric Tons
Destro-King my beloved Considering my no.1 childhood fave is and remains King Ghidorah, the fact that Destro-king is -also- a space dragon, with more than one head, that has a cyberneticaly enhanced form, should really come as zero surprise to anyone.
A brazilian portuguese version of “Shallow Now” + GKOM context.
