Okay, so imagine we get canon macdennis at some stage over the next four seasons... 😬

How do you envision it? Is the first onscreen kiss born of drunken Saturday night shenanigans, or with the sober clarity of a depressing Sunday morning?

Personally, a big part of me wants to see Dennis initiating a drunken blurry makeout with Mac. (He's emboldened by excessive alcohol intake - even more than typical for him - and maybe he's jealous or repenting for an earlier freak out. I don't know. But he's most definitely grossly uncoordinated.) You can tell he's not thinking about what he's doing... until Afterwards. And that's when rcg can run with the dennis is in denial / dennis has a reluctant realisation, etc. etc. whatever way they wanna play it.

But then, another part of me doesn't want to deal with the dudebros wilfully misreading a drunken encounter as noncon / just another of Dennis' "mastermind manipulations" (cos y'know how he's so smart at those.)

I've noticed that lots of people on here are down for subtlety in their canon macdennis. I wish that could be me. Instead I basically just want their reciprocal attraction to punch me in the face with its obviousness. At least once!! If they do something very obvious at least ONE time then I will be fine with canon macdennis fading into the background if that's what rcg prefer, storyline-wise.

I personally just don't see how they can get from the current Intolerably Cranky Dennis to Dennis is Dating Mac :) without something obvious going down.

They're about to start filming Season 10, and I think this is going to be our season because I have a feeling it'll also be the last. Ten seasons is a really good number; I wouldn't want 911 to become another Grey's Anatomy. I think they'll give Buddie the green light. Tim Minear seemed positive about it in an interview, and then there were all these conventions with Ryan and Oliver together on many panels without the rest of the cast.

It'll be a sad day when the show ends. I want an Eddie Diaz spin-off, this character has so much potential.

I definitely think Buddie hopefully will go canon this season [10]. I don’t think it will be the last. If Buddie go canon, we’ll gain a lot more viewers so it’ll at least get a season 11 (depends when in the season B goes canon).

I’m excited to see where this season leads.

I think that the actors have known something for a long time, basically because Buddie was going to start in season 5, it's normal that they talk to their families about it and ask them not to comment anything, so it would be completely normal for their parents, siblings, etc. to not say what they really know and choose to say what is canon at that moment, that is Eddie and Buck as friends. If one of the actors didn't want a gay story, they would have long ago led it in a way in which they are shown as friends and not in a way in which there is a huge unresolved sexual tension, and we could see that in the last episode of Season 8A when Buck believed that Eddie was looking at spicy pages on his iPad.

I think you’re right nonny. There is definitely a ton of unresolved underlying SEXUAL TENSION (as Buck said in 7x01 - look above gif 👆).

I also believe Oliver and Ryan have known for awhile that Buddie was happening. We all know it should have at least started in season 5 after Eddie got shot in 4x13-14.

Well buddie did not went canon this year but next year it is like Buck had his mid ohh moment also Taylor Swift singing Labyrinth the timing tho so on point

I need it to happen in 2025 so I can stop changing my username. This time I’ll only have to change one word in it. Basically take out the word “Going”.
