I have mutuals in my bjd social media accounts that have recasts. I don't like their posts nor do I promote them, I just follow back in hopes of changing their minds and their stance about recasts. I'm of the opinion that shunning and bullying recasts owners out of the hobby is counterproductive to promoting legitimate sculpts or brands; sometimes doing so actually turns them off from ever getting legit dolls. This is just based on experience. I have had success convincing recast owners this way to switch to owning legitimate brands/sculpts, one I even helped to get the original sculpt of the recast that they owned. Having open dialog and showing empathy to other people goes a long way.

to all my pro-recast peeps thinking of going legit to escape the bullying from the elitists: this entire FL fiasco happened cause someone still hates Meanae for being "pro-recast" even though she had "gone legit" for years now. That person reported Meanae to FL for revenge. So take that as a lesson. Even if you sell off all your recasts and only buy legit, like Meanae did, the "pro-artist" crowd will never welcome you. To them you'll always be "pro-theft", someone asking to be bullied.

And that's the point, for antis, doing what we want with our own money it's a free pass for them to bullying you because if you have your own opinion, like this Anon said, for them, "you're asking to be bullied". So their entire strategy is based on blaming the "soon to be" victim of their harassment.

I want to educate people to go legit. This is my Journey about my naïve beginnings in the bjd community. It is about how discovered the dolls I had bought were recasts, and why I went legit.  On 7:38 I explain what is recasts, in a way that I wish someone had explained it to me. At 9:50 I debunk a few myths, and suggest some inexpensive legit dolls and companies.  I hope this video is useful and helps others go legit as well.
