Oh man I love that steelbeak family tree!! Is there room for a mama/wife for the goldbeak and the sons?? If there is, is she with a fancy beak or is she more normalized?

Well since Steelbeak and Copperbeak are step-brothers, they each have their own mom. Also, I decided the beaks were “upgrades” Goldbeak imposed onto his sons, not a family trait- I know the DWD writers planned for them to be prosthetics, but it didn’t come from a place of inclusivity and plays into the “villain with a prosthetic” trope so. i decided to throw the idea out. Anyways, here are the moms:

They both eventually left Goldbeak (he’s a bad husband) so they’re not really a part of the “beak” family anymore- but Copperbeak still keeps in touch with Celia!

I love copperbeak as steelbeak's brother! They have such a funny dynamic as siblings. What is their father goldbeak like?? I saw you mentioned him.

Well he certainly isn’t nice, or that good of a father. I envision him as this sort of rich, lone wolf that values power and money over all else- I think he’d actually be one of F.O.W.L’s biggest patrons (which is also how SteelBeak got his start in the organization, so basically nepotism). He’s definitely villanous, but doesn’t carry out any of his own crimes; instead he’s more about funding other villains/ evil organizations to gain status, profit and occasionally getting them to do his dirty work.

Like I said, he’s kind of a terrible dad. His harsh “power over all else” mentality affects how he treats his kids and how they were raised. Steelbeak went on to become a top-ranking villain, which makes him the “favorite” (although that hardly matters, GoldBeak only treats him slightly better) and Copperbeak was dubbed the weakling, goody-two-shoes of the family- therefore was cut off from his father’s funds/praise, and developed an inferiority complex.
