So another shape study, this time with a golem rather than a robot.  There really is something charming to these designs there is no wonder why they are so timeless for this series. Akira Toriyama knows what the hell he is doing for sure. The exaggerated things like the hands and the blocky shapes actually made something click a bit for me so that makes me feel like a bit of progress was earned.

DQB2 is great, Goldirocks is a stalward companion and friend.

When they were growing up, Yang hid Easter eggs for Ruby to find. Because Taiyang was too distant and Summer had always hidden for Yang, but had died just before she could hide eggs for Ruby. And the first year after Summer’s death, Taiyang didn’t hide eggs, just gave Yang a little money for candy. And though Yang looked and looked and looked, there were no Easter eggs in the garden. 

So the next year, Yang crept around in the dark, tears still in her eyes, hiding little plastic eggs under bushes and behind rocks. Next morning, she got to watch while Ruby found all the eggs one by one, and split her little finds with Yang.

A few years later, Ruby told Yang that their mother was alive, she was hiding eggs in the garden every year, their mother was the Easter bunny! And Ruby wanted Yang to stay up with her so they could see their mother one more time.

And Yang had a choice. She could admit she was the Easter Bunny, and take a little bit of magic and hope out of Ruby’s world, or she could play along, stay up with Ruby, knowing that Summer wasn’t coming, and watch her sister’s hope die all over again.
