after a particularly hectic workday at the planet, clark returns to his apartment to find steve asleep on his bed, freshly showered, wrapped up in clark’s cape like a blanket. they’ve barely seen each other in the past month, their responsibilities keeping them occupied, and steve had just returned from a week-long mission. clark can’t help but smile at the sight, bending down to press a kiss on the top of steve’s head.

not even fifteen minutes later, clark is called in to respond to a crisis downtown. he changes into his uniform, glancing down at the man bundled up in his cape.

when he shows up to the scene, the fighting momentarily stops as all members of the JLA and the villain-of-the-day stare at superman, looking strangely naked without his cape. kal blushes, then aims his heat vision at the weapon in the villain’s hands.

after all, he’s rather eager to return home to join steve under his cape.

steve calling clark ‘my sun’ because, much like clark gets his powers from absorbing solar energy, steve derives his strength from clark (ʘ‿ʘ✿)

imagine how much steve loves playing with clark’s hair. he loves carding his fingers through it as clark rests his head on his shoulder. he loves twirling the curls around his finger, especially the persistent ringlet that always falls on the centre of clark’s forehead.
