˚ ✦ . . ˚ . . ✦ ˚ ─────IN WHICH. . . a superhero is forced into retirement after a lethal incident leaves them with life-sustaining injuries, sending them into a year-long coma. despite the devastating ordeal, the now rehabilitated hero takes the incident as a blessing in disguise—relishing in a reality where simple mediocrity is their home once more. trading in their cape for a mop, (name) (last-name) is employed at the local SDN headquarters as a prized janitor. their hopes of leading a new quiet life, however, are quickly fractured as encounters with their fellow SDN employees become all the more frequent and absurd. ˚ ✦ . . ˚ . . ✦ ˚

Bookmark Design I made up for Dungeon Meshi. The dungeon scroll is the front is Falin on the back inspured by that one scene in the first opening of Laois sinking through blood.
I'm honestly so very happy how this turned out. Enjoy
Okay but also I think Golum/Smeagol is actually relatively decent plurality rep. (Compared to most media rep anyway)
First of all the way it's shown in the dialogue (especially in the films but that's benefiting from performance and camera work). The conflicting views and persuading of one alters thoughts to affect another's, is (for me) a good show of the feeling/experience of interacting within a system.
Secondly, he's an outcast, shunned, his behaviour inspires distrust, tolkien wrote him, and treated him, as a lost soul, unable to heal, unable to be whole, a burden, whilst at the same time showing that a little compassion, a little trust and he's able to exist in a community (albeit a community of 3 inclusive).
Like yes the framing is very singlet perspective, but that's only half of it.
He also split to not be alone, to survive, and that alter was toxic because it had to be. Tolkien wrote him as pitiful, but still respected as a living being. As crass, but still expressive and caring. As isolated, but able to exist with others.
Tolkien intended to write the character as a sorrowful and tragic character, but within his story there was a light and a hope, even if that hope was not achieved. I think Tolkien couldn't see a way for Golum to survive and Smeagol couldn't exist without Golum, so in his eyes the only fate was a tragic sacrifice.
But I can see a different end, one where they could be welcomed and accepted, where the destructive tendencies of Golum could be eased and the two could have lived together, in a community that understands. Frodo was the closest that they had ever gotten to that community, and it was difficult, people would say not worth the hurt and suffering, but...
I think we are all worth everything, to enable existing together.
Similarities 😂
'There is someting following us'
not my LOTR riddled mind expecting slow chanting of 'Stupid little hobitsesssss' in Andy Serkis voice to break out next......:)
Golum.
