Hello secret summer Santa! I'm going to try and give a few explanations and prompts for the combos I want (disclaimer I’m terrible with prompts and I don’t mind if you ignore all of them) so I hope there's something you like in here, but if not go wild and take liberties, indulge yourself and I'll certainly enjoy it too~ as long as Wataru is there I support it! Love and surprises are the priority…☆ but saying that, gen fic is also good

My only request for what NOT to include is AUs, sorry, I just don't like them!  Canon divergence/timeline fiddling is fine though.

P.S. My rambling can be quite detailed but don’t feel obligated to match that, especially if you’re drawing something. I’m just enthusiastic and I’m hoping I can reuse bits of this letter for the next actual Enstars SSanta.

Hokuwata:

I live for this pairing right now. If they’re in the same room interacting I’m happy (if they’re interacting long-range over the phone I’m also happy tbh) my only restriction for them is please don’t make it romantic, or at least make it onesided… unless you want to do Romeo/Juliet in which case no holds are barred.

I love their quiet loyalty and familiarity around each other and their fundamental incompatibility so much. Anything exploring that dynamic of Hokuto, the magnificent blockhead who can’t impress Wataru no matter how much he excels, vs. Wataru, the attention-hungry old man who can’t get a proper Amazing reaction from Hokuto nor drive him away no matter how hard he tries, would please me to bits, whether it’s senpai-kouhai distance angst or cute slice-of-life or anything else. 1-year-ago or present day are also both good.

Prompts:

-A time or times when Hokuto didn’t realise he got pranked, and the resulting lies/misunderstandings he firmly believes to this day

-Practicing their improv, doing goofy acting exercises, anything RJR-related

-Having to cooperate as idols/part of a joint live (whether theatre club or trickstar/fine or anything else)

-Times they met on the train to school

Yuzuwata:

My pure self-indulgence rarepair... I firmly believe they have a lot of unexplored potential though. I love how Yuzuru quietly respects Wataru despite everything, and Wataru relates to & is fascinated by Yuzuru because of just how much he also keeps hidden. They’re both huge teases who have the capacity to surprise each other and get under one another’s skin - they could be natural enemies or partners in crime so easily depending on the situation, and I’d love anything exploring either or both of these scenarios.

Prompts:

-Yuzuru as magic assistant for one of Wataru’s shows

-Secrets they keep from one another

-Tips for dealing with Tori / Eichi respectively

Other combos

Fine - I love them. No explanation needed. Prompts: -Going on a gameshow for publicity

-Quarrel Festival, or just dealing with the summer heat

-Playing charades, boardgames, card games, videogames, etc

-Teaching Tori & Eichi to cook

KeiEiWata - again, no explanation needed. +1 extra point for every line of pointless bickering. Prompts:

-Making up (or subtly plagiarising) stories - maybe scary ghost stories, plots for Keito’s next manga (of course he will refuse them all, right) or whatever else you can think of

-Long distance/traveling/ways to stay in touch, or disconnection

-Roadtrip/other extended exposure

-Trapped in an elevator (maybe just two of them) 

Wataru + any of Tsumugi, Nazuna, Mitsuru, Ibara, Hiyori, Nagisa, any Oddball - I'll be fascinated by any take you might have on these dynamics :3c especially if you explore their similarities and differences somehow. +1 bonus point if you give a proper Wataru-style nickname to a character he hasn’t met in canon yet. Prompts:

-Fine VS Eden, onstage, backstage

-Meeting unexpectedly in public and not recognising each other for some reason

-Discovering they’re neighbours/go to the same supermarket/etc
