Tolten: I'm not helping you.
Gongora: Why not? Is this because I once betrayed you?
Tolten: Yes! It was our last interaction!

Study of Góngora Segun Velázquez, and a lil abstraction
Mal te perdonarán a tí las horas,
las horas que limando están los días,
los días que royendo están los años.

Luis de Góngora
See these fuckers?
Góngora and Quevedo
These 16th century Spanish poets created diss tracks because they hated each other's literary movement.
Why am I talking about this?
You can't convince me that Aziraphale and Crowley sided with the opposite poets and used work as an excuse to critique each other's artistic tastes.
Crowley: Culteranismo is overly complicated! It's just a bunch of snobbish words put out together with the need of such calculation that it doesn't allow space for the heart!
Aziraphale: So you are saying that thoughtless written word is more valid because it contains "raw emotion"? Culteranismo allows writers to process and perfectionate their own world so they can transmite it to us!
Crowley: Bleh!
Gabriel: So what are you up to this days?
Aziraphale, mad because he just read new Quevedo's sonet: I'm inspiring a writer to create wonderful art
Gabriel, confused: And why would you do that?
Aziraphale, coming back to senses: Oh, you see, the opposition is doing the same with his adversary and I thought it would be the only fair thing.
Gabriel: Hmm, if the opposition is interesting in this battle so are we. We'll keep in touch.
Gongora rufescens in its natural habitat, northern Peru.
Other than Bulbophyllum, Gongora are another genera that really tickles my fancy. Here are two form the past show Gongora fulva and Gongora superflua.
Honestly the complexity and diversity seen at all levels of these groups should amaze you; but, Gongora definitely is a favorite. Tribe: Maxillarieae Subtribe: Stanhopeinae
