i love when people actually bring up/point out that both gon & killua have abandonment issues & insecurities surrounding being good/strong enough for the ppl they care about/love, including & especially when it comes to each other.

seriously, all the times he’s given his all to and for gon, esp the moments when killua wouldn’t disclose just how much he did for him? or moments when gon just isn’t conscious to witness it?

like, ep. 85 when killua piggy-backed gon that entire way back after they left kite, ignoring his own exhaustion?

the way he carried him into the city and then tucked him into that bed? are you kidding me???

in one hxh analysis i read a while ago (i can’t remember), someone once paralleled killua to a cat (specifically a “guard cat”, *gon’s* guard cat) in ep. 85 when he was sitting near the foot of gon’s bed before gon woke up, and i haven’t been able to stop thinking abt it ever since.

is it just me or are the hunterpedia shorts, episode previews, and (non-canon) movies the biggest killugon shippers ever? lmao

i’ve seen multiple ppl either:

a) completely romanticize killua & gon’s relationship while entirely ignoring their toxic traits,

or

b) completely focus on the negative traits of their relationship while entirely ignoring the good parts of it,

when their relationship is very much both good and bad. yes, it wasn’t entirely healthy, but that doesn’t mean it was devoid of many good things as well.

i honestly think the problem comes from ppl often seeing codependent relationships as either all good or all bad all the time, when that isn’t always accurate.

imo, it’s just a bit black-and-white to think that it either has to be THIS extreme, or THAT one.

i wish there was more killua and gon/killugon media (fanfics, playlists, etc.) that focused more on gon’s POV, thoughts, and personal feelings instead of just killua’s.

don’t get me wrong, i absolutely love & thoroughly enjoy killua’s POV— it’s one of my favorite things abt hxh— but gon’s is just as emotional, loving, and important, and i feel like it gets glossed over and forgotten a LOT due to multiple factors, such as the fact that we don’t get a lot of gon’s internal thoughts the way we get so many of killua’s and that gon’s complexities & deep inner struggles/doubts are just more difficult to read than killua’s.
