In Good!Belos, Philip and Beloved never got together and he heavily regrets it. When your father told him that you were being courted by someone he approved of (the man took issue with the fact that Philip was an orphan), something that he'd only find out was a lie in the Guide AU, Philip left for the Boiling Isles with Caleb and Evelyn. You were heartbroken upon finding out he left without a word to you.
In the Guide AU, you are still the museum curator but Philip is extremely hesitant on approaching you just because you looked like Beloved. He does overhear someone asking you during Halloween how anyone knew Philip and Caleb were actual people and you tell them that the museum is in possession of a diary that Philip had written when he was in the human world. In fact, he left it for Beloved to find, but it was hidden away by Beloved's father.
Philip, remembering the entries he made, went beet red out of embarrassment and ended up confronting you about the diary to see if he could swipe it back. Seeing you up close, he had a hard time speaking without stuttering due to your eyes looking exactly like Beloved's. Of course, he was shot down and told that the diary was so fragile due to its age and couldn't be touched with human hands. His hope that no one could read it now was shattered when you told him everything in it was preserved and rebounded in a new copy that was on display. He was screaming internally at this point but your criticism of its contents made him stop.
"I have to say, it's one of the most romantic pieces I've ever come across, though heartbreakingly tragic. Don't judge, but I know it by heart. According to a note that was found with it from one of Beloved's descendants, Beloved never had a chance to read through it themselves. They died without ever knowing Philip was deceived and that their longing for one another was mutual."
Philip, while hurt over the fact that it never reached Beloved's hands and wishing he had handed it to you directly, perked up at the last part. When he inquired about it, you gave him a sad smile and told him that several love letters addressed to Philip that Beloved never sent were recovered and preserved. These, too, were copied and displayed. You showed him where they were and Philip tried his best to keep his composure.
"I'm sure they're happy to know that he felt the same way about them."
Reading through the letters was like a knife to his chest. Philip stayed there until closing, pouring over the familiar manner of writing and the loving words that were meant for him. When you gently reminded him that the museum was closing, he apologized and went to leave. However, he paused at the door, and, when he turned to thank you for your time. he recited something he wrote for Beloved all that time ago which made you freeze. You knew he hadn't looked at the diary, only the love letters. Something deep within you cried out as you watched him leave. This prompted you to chase after him and ask him if he wanted to go get a coffee later.
